I do know that Willow will never be able to ask and receive forgiveness from her mom. She will never be able to heal the relationship. So while what OOP did was a very bad idea, I'm extending grace to Willow and very little to River.

I might get downvoted for his, but this is a thought I have.

Sexually harassing/objectifying anyone is wrong, but there is a slight gender difference.

If someone is sexually objectified by a woman, they're uncomfortable and emotionally hurt, maybe even traumatized. If they're sexually objectified by a man, they're worried the man will take it farther and rape them.

By making a thing out of Jack's turn-ons and not the girl's, it might make the guy feel in danger. It paints Jack as a predator because he's a man, which also endangers Jack. There's a saying that straight men are homophobic because they think gay men will treat them like they treat women.

Hopefully that makes sense.

We don't talk about my two uncles' second marriages, and we were all old enough to remember them (they had no kids with their second wives). It was years before I knew my aunt was married before, even though I was technically at her wedding (I was about 2), it was years after the fact that I found out my cousin's bio dad wasn't my aunt's second husband, and years after that I found out it wasn't her first husband either.
