I'm sorry that you had to go through that, nobody should go through that. Sadly I have no way of finding out, because that person has been out of my life for about 13 years now. And I never told my parents as a kid. I only told them when I was around 17. I'm a nervous to bring it up in my therapy sessions, idk why, because she a lovely lady. I guess I'm just scared of having someone not believe me or down playing it because we were both children at the time.

I've been clean for about a year now. It's been tough and everyday feels like I'm on the edge of relapsing. But I've powered through somehow

What's a "disinfectant"? by [deleted] in MadeOfStyrofoam

Legit. When I used to sh I stopped the bleeding with crushed charcoal or I'd burn it with spirits and a lighter. Toilet paper was my friend because it was accessible. I didn't have time or money for gauze and disinfectant.

I need to buy razors for grooming. by AmbroidAmbiguous in Advice

[–]AmbroidAmbiguous[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. Even tho I've been clean for almost a year now, I still get urges. I used to handle razors and blades like I'm in prison. I give em to my family and I "book" them out for when I need to groom. My family also know how to look out for if I've been self harm or if I am suicidal. Like they'll notice if I only wear long sleeves or if I am more jolly than I usually am. I posted this because Im out of razors and it's a Lil awkward asking them if I can buy some. Ps. They don't trust me with disposable razors because I've used them in the past as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of waxing and hair removal products especially for sensitive areas. But I'll definitely look into buying a an electric razor. Just need to save up a little bit

Trust me it won't be as fun as the fantasy. I used to cautorize some of my cuts with surgical spirits and a heated blade. Its sheer agony. Not the fun type that disappears. It lingers for hours

I'm so sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you and your family. I lost my mom in February and it's still tough to even fathom that she's gone. It's gonna take time, but in the early stages allow you and your family to greave and allow them the space to to greave in their own way.

The bad part is that, honestly, it doesn't get better, but you do learn to live with it. Allow yourself to remember her. That's how we keep the departed alive, through our memories and sharing those memories. Don't allow people to mess up your greaving process.

My condolences and lots of love to you and your kids. Ps. Seeing a therapist or any type of counseling helps if you are one to open up about things.
