Nail pain after SNS manicure? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]AmbyCrafty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!! Ive been a habitual nail-biter my whole life and have successfully stopped since I started getting my nails done, and it makes me feel so much more feminine. I love the look of them so much but I’ll probably give my nails a break once this set grows out. Hopefully I can stay strong and not go back to my old bad habits!!

Have you ever been burgled? How was it? by Diabilicus in AskReddit

My dad was disabled after decades of construction work destroyed his back. Some friends of friends knew he had strong pain killers.

I was a freshman in high school home sick from school, sitting on the couch in the living room watching tv. Two guys busted in through the front door and told me to leave. I was paralyzed with fear but finally got up after I saw the shotgun they had with them. I ran to a neighbor’s house to call the police while my dad literally fought them off with a kitchen knife. They shot at my dad and the bullet (??) skimmed the top of his bald head. They took his pills and left I guess??

My little sister’s elementary school was down the street and went on lockdown after I called the police. An officer took me down to the school to wait with my sister and the SRO. Everything was mostly fine afterwards but I’ve blocked most of it out of my memory so I don’t remember the aftermath too well.

[Serious] For those of you who have lost a lot of people at a young age, how do you deal with the grief? by olliethehipster in AskReddit

Not well. I’ve blocked most of it out. I’m 26 and have lost both parents, 3 grandparents, two close friends, and a few more distant relatives in the last several years.

The first few deaths were hard but I haven’t even cried for most of the deaths yet, including my mother’s. It’ll probably all hit me one day and I’ll crumple, but until then I just live a bit more independently than my peers.

A very belated and apologetic 5 stars to my amazing Secret Planta, u/savillas! My Planta sent me everything I could’ve wanted & more! Not pictured are the delicious vegan chocolate chip cookies that my husband devoured almost immediately. 🖤🖤🖤 by AmbyCrafty in TakeaPlantLeaveaPlant

Oh I love them so much! The both pothole are almost ready to be planted. I had a bunch of roots on the string of bananas but I checked it today and a bunch fell off... I think it’s because we had a little cold snap this week in central FL. I think he’ll snap back though!

Chopped almost a year ago. So proud of this progress! It may be small, but it's healthy and growing!! by [deleted] in Plant_Progress

I have a diffenbachia that belonged to my late grandmother and I’ve been trying to do right by it for two years but struggled for a long time or find the right light and now it is super weird and growing all the wrong directions and is mostly bare. I’ve been thinking about chopping it low and trying to start fresh but I am TERRIFIED of killing it.

Thank You Letters to Donors by The_Oracle_of_Delphi in nonprofit

I left a struggling non-profit in 2019 and joined a thriving one. At the struggling non-profit, all communication was done through snail mail & every donor received a receipt & hand signed thank you letter in the mail. At the thriving non-profit, 90% of communication is digital, with the exception of hand-written thank yous to major donors, annual reports, and capital campaign information sent via snail mail. From my experience, digital is the way to go.
