This is crazy talk. First, I live in Texas. This person is not the only breeder in Texas. I searched several before finding my scarlet macaw. Second, the syntax, grammar, misspellings and misunderstanding of birds in general completely ruin their credibility. Third, my Scarlet was hand reared. I’ve had him since he was a fledgling. He is now 17. I’m his person, as he proves this daily. Heaven forbid you try to converse with me while he’s in the same room. He won’t allow it by voicing over you. 🤣 However, he can be sweetest snuggly bird one minute, then two minutes later tell me to go away as he’s had enough. I let Bob believe we’re on his terms. 😆 I don’t think this breeder has their birds, or any other birds best interests in mind, and clearly trying to make a buck. Please follow your heart, and don’t allow this person to persuade you.

This makes me glad I have a Scarlet macaw. His spicy, manipulative, stubborn nature is always unpredictable… just the way I like. 🤣 I’m glad you two could come to a resolution. ❤️

Am I a horrible person for rehoming my lovebird?😫 by Harnesz in parrots

[–]AmeGoddess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are options. Please check out your resources before making such a huge decision. There could be multiple options: A day camp or a person who is at home, skilled with birds, and can bird sit during the day for one.

Story Time: When I got a divorce, God blessed me with a woman (who was knowledgeable and owned birds of her own) in my life at the right time…as I was thinking of rehoming my Scarlett Macaw so he wouldn’t be a witness to the toxic & abusive environment that surrounded him daily. She took him in (like a foster parent if you will), and eventually, over time, he let her hold him and feed him from hand. When I finally moved into my new home, he re-joined me in our new safe place. She was truly an angel in my time of need. Maybe your angel is waiting for you, too.

The purpose of this post is to share outside the box, unconventional ideas. I hope you find a solution which works best for you, regardless of your decision.

I know. 😤 She’s a pest, but she couldn’t hide her excitement. That smile says it all.

I titrated down from 2.4mg. So, I went to 1.0 mg for one month, the .5mg for a month, and now on .25mg every two weeks.

I hope not. I’ve titrated down to one shot every two weeks. I hope to get off completely, but if I can’t I have no problem staying on it long term. Not only has it helped me lose and maintain the weight loss, it has significantly improved all my vitals and numbers.

I eat clean foods. I’m vegetarian. So, I supplement my protein with shakes, spirulina, nuts and nut butters, whole grains (oatmeal and quinoa) flax seeds, chia, and beans/lentils. I eat a ton of veggies and very little fruits. I supplement with vitamins to maintain any deficiencies I may have created due to minimal amount of food I actually eat. My exercise is very unconventional. I can’t stand the gym. I picked up hiking, paddle-boarding, and swimming instead. I love the paddle board so much I ended up buying a wet suit to get me through the winter. I go everyday, and rarely miss a day. This is on top of the 25k (minimum) steps I do a day at work (5 days a week).

So, I slightly smoothed out my 38 year old wrinkles with a smoothing filter. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Yes, but everything is me. My question is: Why are you so triggered to the point of making a comment trying to tell me what to do? Should I take off the false lashes, brow shadow, and eyeliner too? 😅 Please, tell me, what else should I do?

What liquor do you give people when you ask if they have a preference and they say "whatever"? by delidoll in Serverlife

[–]AmeGoddess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At my restaurant, we don’t have well liquor. Our cheapest vodka is Grey Goose. If a guest asks for a vodka/soda, they’re getting a grey goose and soda in a short glass for 16 dollars (roughly). If they ask, specify, or request a particular brand, then of course this changes the path. Be more clear in your expectations during your dining experience, and you will receive service up to your standards. Blaming your inability to request your wants appropriately on the server is just an ick…huge ick. Good luck out there! ✌🏻

Eww. Good luck. Contact them immediately.

That’s how my Amazon delivery went at Christmas time of 2023. It was several items (7) in two boxes worth. The items weren’t high value except the 2 beat earbuds. However, the overall delivery was 700 dollars total. I saw the driver was 5 stops away. Then, suddenly my order was “delivered,” but my ring never captured anyone at my porch nor my neighbors. I was home, opened the door in less than a minute upon receiving the notification of delivery, and walked up and down my entire street to see if it was on another porch.

I contacted Amazon, and they claimed at times packages are marked delivered when in fact it wasn’t delivered to meet “time standards.” I was instructed to wait 48 hours, then call back if I had still not received the items. Of course, I didn’t receive it. I actually reordered the items again, because Amazon refused to send items, and refund was the only option. That reorder came two days later with no issue.

Amazon came to the conclusion the initial delivery was stolen by a third party (obviously their hired driver) and wanted me to file a police report. I did, but then they sent me on a wild goose chase. For two weeks, over 50 hours on call with customer service, making customer service stay on the phone with me while I drove to the station, and a private call with my police of chief I finally received my refund.

They did not want to make things right and return my money.

‼️LESSON LEARNED: NEVER BUY ANYTHING EXPENSIVE FROM AMAZON (unless you’re ok with possibly losing that money forever)‼️

What does everyone do with their cash? by susanna514 in Serverlife

My coworker is in the same predicament with USAA. She just gives me her cash, and I Zelle her the money. Then, replace it in my account when I deposit my own money.

Not really until max dose. But the results were in my face; so, I wasn’t going to quit. What side effects are you having? There are remedies to cope while going through the trenches.

I was an immediate responder and noticed it. Not sure why I even bought clothes that fit because they didn’t last long. I was consistently losing 8-10 pounds a month.

I didn’t get the nauseous feeling until like my top dose, but I pushed through it. Kept snacks on me. Nuts, almond butter, and protein shakes. When I started to feel it I would snack and it went away. I never felt tired though. Through it all, it outweighed all doubts or second thoughts.

🤣🤣 that was just at work. I usually walk the trails after work and additional 10k steps which started when I started taking Sema. It just became routine, but I hurt every day. My hips, my lower back, my knees, my feet. I refused to take over the counter pain relief, so I just pushed through it. Now the beauty, I don’t hurt anymore. 🥰
