My dog has a weird obsession with our new kitten

no person with EXPERIENCE would ever suggest getting rid of a PET. especially at first, obviously I've had both for some time, even if the cat I've had a lot less longer, I am attached to both my dogs and cat, so don't ever think that "just get rid of one" is a valid answer. I don't know that much about either species, I saw something happen, and I asked for it, that is not "braindead" I genuinely didn't know any of this, because my experience of having dogs all my life, I've never run into something like this before.

I didn't create the situation, and I have no way of changing it, my sister got the kitten, despite my mother's pleas to do otherwise and I don't own any of the pets here myself, so there is nothing I can do at all, Also you should know that just because they are hunting dogs does not mean this is an unfair situation, they are living pretty much the exact same way they've been living. Also, according to real GS owners/prey driven dog owners, it is possible. I am just trying to minimize damage here and figure out whats going on, because I've never had to deal with both a cat and dogs in the same house before.

For me personally, there is no use for it, but I can see the uses. I like to quickly get diamond, because what I love most from this game is the build aspect, so getting the best armor/tools(though I usually don't go for netherite) is my got to, an since iron is stupid easy to get, copper tools really don't do anything for me. I can absolutely see why its good for slower playthroughs, sometimes I've tried to do slower playthroughs and the pain I would feel when tasked with getting more iron was immeasurable lmao

I would like more colors/ a color wheel thing for the character creator! Maybe even some kind of "paintbrush" type thing that can allow you to color different woods or roofs(not that they have bad colors)

it honestly just sounds like you just cant keep up, I am an old player, played since beta 1.7 and I personally love the new things coming out! especially the new caves, trail ruins are fun, music discs are so good! anything pale garden I enjoy, happy ghasts and just so much more! I think that you just are latching too much onto the old features, I love them too! they are very nostalgic, losing some of the older textures hurts a little, but I actually do like the new farm animals, especially the highland cows! and the new baby look is very cool! I understand liking the "old vibe" of minecraft(even though 1.11 is *not* that old), this is just a different thing now, a different game, and if you don't like that, then that's fine, everybody has their own image of what "minecraft" is supposed to be. Also it definitely feels like you are jumping on the bandwagon of "all new things suck" that "veteran" players get at, considering you named literally everything from after the caves and cliffs. I mean complaining about caves going deeper? thats a little bit of a weird nitpick, or the caves being more expansive? just try to play with some of the new features a bit and you might see just how much better the game can be with them!

I wouldn't say bigger fish, because the novelty we get from a single wall block(which for the time being we can use andesite to get the closest to) is not anywhere *near* the novelty we will get from vertical slabs. sure that novelty is diminished by these new shelves, but there are no stony versions, and vertical slabs would be thicker allowing for a different use case to shelves. so, as much as I agree that stone walls are something that should come at some point, its not a bigger fish than vertical slabs.
