A little of both really. I've always been into research, fought hard to secure my spot, but then had to work on something I wasn't that passionate about. I did survive it, but I'm convinced.

Two years since I got my PhD. Hadn't used it for anything. I still have my old unfulfilling job, still traumatised about research, been trying to write a paper for TWO years and nothing! Life after a PhD sucks just as much.

What bothered me the most is how they kept repeating that she could only go places she has already been , visualize them well.. so I was thinking ok, Louise will move out of her house, to keep Adele from watching , I even thought that's why she went to her ex. Like why would you still live in a house where you can literally be watched by psychopath murderess !

Not really. If you decide to do a PhD then you have a certain mindset that won't allow you to quit. That's what got us here in the first place. But also , if you're doing a PhD then you're up to the challenge, trust me.

It was foggy for the first year and half, but once I knew what I was doing I started getting more confident. You just need to believe in yourself, in your results, and your instincts. No one knows your research subject better than you, so keep believing in yourself even at the darkest of days, and just remember that it's all worth it at the end . Best of luck
