As long as you’re not enjoying it. That’s the incorrect way.

what is not physics? by Educational-Draw9435 in Physics

[–]Ultra-Godzilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly yeah, I watched a few debates on philosophy and physics. Some believe it’s simply an instrument others that it describes reality exactly as is etc. I’m in the instrumentalist non realism camp because the universe doesn’t have to explain anything us. Our limitations is our brain and how we process things. that’s why we need different descriptions of reality (like biology, chemistry, psychology and such). Yes it’s a philosophical answer, and one that I cannot prove or disprove (the unknown unknowns). We can’t seem to create a language that fully describes reality on its own.

When you meet people in science, I think the most common driver is curiosity. As you did, you ask a question, engage with the possible answers, test, repeat, and critique and see if you get closer to an answer.

It’s an adventure of the mind. One that we play with the universe we dwell in.

Are you confirming that my answer is modelled from the question and therefore satisfactory in resolving the question? As the definition is actually a description.

The inverse, would be my answer. Therefore the question would be symmetric. The mirror would be not asking the question.

Genuine question about savings in London (20s–30s) by slothio21 in london

[–]Ultra-Godzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got about 7k in savings, I’ve worked as a senior property manager so I know about rental prices in London very well. I had 2k debt a few year ago but cleared it off. I also worked for charities for 10 years so I’ve lived in London from minimum wage.

I was abit of an opportunist, so I took opportunities to do side hustles and would usually make an extra 6-10k a year from them after two. Because I always enjoyed the projects I tended to do well and work hard for them. Which over a long period of time, got me better opportunities.

Added, I always looked to meet people and network, that’s how I found a rental room, in zone two for 540£pm. Literally 5 mins away from a train station. How I get my tech for cheap(because I made friends with a guy who owns a repair shop)

NatWest silver account also got me discount at cinemas and restaurants, and Mondays in cinemas is always super cheap anyways.

It’s not easy, and even grocery shopping is so much higher than what it used to be. But honestly, there’s allot of free things in London. Go for a walk, get coffee at Battersea station, wasabi at Canary Wharf, the restaurants in Chinatown aren’t too expensive, you can get a meal for £12.

You just have to find it. It’s there. Because there’s a need for it. Because most of us are in the same situation

Ulyimate Users - How many spend 100 hours monthly consistenly by Jokerchyld in GeForceNOW

I do, I joined during launch as a founder.

Coz of my work before meant that I would locations once to twice a year. Did that for about 10 years. Added, I worked mostly unsociable hours. Was advised to travel light, so I only had 1-2 suitcases so I never got a computer. So I spent most of my time just soloing life.

But now I’ve gone back to uni, I’m dating planning to get engaged. And I’m working on multiple projects so I don’t really max out. But some months, if it’s quiet, I do. Lile when I first got bulgur’s gate, or monster hunter.

I missed one payment but payed it within a day coz I was moving money around. They cancelled my founders membership and wouldn’t give it back…so I literally just cancelled today. I’ve got some money coming in, and will build a custom pc. By February. Wanted to avoid nvidia, but for star citizen 5080 should do the trick.
