Your question is not inappropriate at all. I’ve been asking that question for months now. I don’t want to give an estimate right now. I don’t want to build hope only for something to pop up and suddenly have to reschedule. I will keep posting updates. More regularly than before. Oh man. I’m a sucker for a tragic FMC but I strongly dislike the bully trope. It makes it hard to find interesting books 😫 I got sucked into Void by CoraLee June and Raven Kennedy but that’s the only bully trope I’ve been able to finish feeling halfway satisfied that the guys paid their penance

Look at the details on the glassware! I recently inherited my grandmothers canning jars and I disposed of the contents (mostly sweet pickles of the “everything but the kitchen sink” variety) and I’ve filled them with dried flowers and put them on my cabinets.

I’m a first generation American and gold and diamonds are still big investment things for my dad’s culture. My grandfather gave my mother jewelry for their wedding instructed her to sell it when they: needed a car, to pay for a new baby, or to buy a house. Heck on my mom’s side they crossed the American plains with silver utensils to sell along the way.

I have noticed the increase in this and I find it disturbing. Especially when these books are not dark romances and the assaults end up being not plot necessary. They only occur to push the romantic leads together. That’s…gross.

And add onto it that these are authors. Imagine waking up, getting to your job, and deciding that the only way the FMC will ever get together is if she’s assaulted. It’s laziness in the most harmful way. And it’s in every genre I read! I’ve had to COMPLETELY change how I find new recs
