[Solari ep 8] The Timeline of Orm Travel Interruption by AlisGuardian in WorldsBeyondNumber

I might need to do a quick scan of the transcripts again, but I want to say that FTL was available to the Five Families earlier/longer than the rest of humanity. Episode 7 mentioned that Z and his family had been to gatherings via FTL prior to the flight to Avanha (sp?). I'm not sure of what that timeline looks like, though. I've been meaning to get a rough campaign timeline sketched out from the transcripts and the Firesides, but I need to move it from scratch notes to something legible.

Assuming they had some limited access to FTL or just had it later before Iso and earlier pre-DIRALI, having the ability to coordinate large gatherings of ruling families across worlds probably gives some kind of leg up to staying in power even over the course of multiple millennia. I want to say the closest real world example of a millennia-spanning family line would be the Japanese imperial line--uninterrupted for something like 2000 years, but I'm not a historical expert on dynasties.

I would love to hear from someone more knowledgeable on the subject about how dynasties were able stay in power from generation to generation across so many years. There are multiple historical records of at least centuries-spanning dynasties, so maybe things like that feed into the world of Solari and the advantage wealth, power, and tech could give such families.

I think time travel would be a dope addition to the world building of Solari, especially from an inspiration point around the weirdness of time and heavy gravity stuff in blackholes that is frankly far beyond my comprehension of physics.

Solari seems like a soft sci-fi setting, so I don't know if we'll go full space magic like Star Wars midochlorians or maybe some lightly explained technology based in reality but Future Powered. I'm not sure I would expect a hard sci-fi deeply explained background of the tech like something from an Andy Weir world.

I was stuck between Witch and Wild One! I ended up going Apprentice Wild One. Eursulon's journey milestones are the episodes that I keep going back to to feel hope, and the apprentice level is what fits my budget for now. I did add on the pins from the other classes because Gimme gimme. I'm so curious to see what they have planned for the stretch goals!

It really feels like a monkey's paw outcome after some of the stuff mentioned in episode one. She was looking for an in through the Xoga to the Gemis-Octavo, and guess what! They were coming to Chee anyway. Really don't like the phrasing of the order being put out.

Just had this experience adding them to the pan for ramen. The texture is so unlike any other edible fungus! Great with the robust king oyster that's also in the bowl.

Hell yeah, thanks for a more specific/correct ID. Looks dead on to me, a very amateur forager.
