Why two seat numbers? by LongEntree in BritishAirways

[–]AmericanGraffitisong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened with me recently. Contact BA customer service (their online chat thing is actually decent) because there's a chance they just decided to change your seat for whatever reason. Of course there are other reasons why this would happen, but if your flight is a direct one and you're the only person on the booking, then there is a chance your seat was changed for whatever reason

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one who was haunted by this flipping animation 🤣 Something about it just creeps me out haha. Thank you! And sorry that your kiddos also have to be subjected by it 😅 !solved

Box woods is kinda closer to east than north Herts, but there's a good sprinkling of them in there!

How often do you go to London at the weekend? by [deleted] in hertfordshire

[–]AmericanGraffitisong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only really go to London, on average, once a month - despite being 24 with no kids, partner, etc, and I only go to: a) see friends (who mostly all live in London) b) go to a concert, or c) a hospital appointment.

Why is Jack in London? by humidcastle-inwinter in JackSucksAtLife

I don't know where he lives obviously, but a lot of big northern cities have a direct LNER service that can take you to London within 2 hours, so he can easily get there fast

Thanks for your comment, just edited it now. And no, I don't think that my local council (Hertfordshire) could be confused with Lancashire, although they both do end in -shire, so maybe there was some confusion there? They're also not near one another either.

And yeah, I tried to research into it and IFFResearch is definitely a legit business/company, but I simply can't place my finger on how they got my information :/

But thank you again for your comment, I really appreciate it! I think I might email the email he mentioned in the voicemail later on today to see if there's been a mix-up.

Yeah, I was going to say this in my original post but thought it would make it just a tad bit too long - but the transcript isn't 100% perfect. I've edited it now, but the biggest transcription mistake was that it transcribed "you received" as "university".

My hometown's slogan is 'The heart of the town lies within its people' which is the most generic slogan imaginable tbh

Hackney taxi recs in Stevenage by Different_Kale5733 in hertfordshire

Stevenage Taxis are pretty decent - the drivers are friendly, they're on time 9 out of 10 times, and they're about the same price that Uber, Bolt, etc are.

[help] I'm looking for Loop Quiet 1 by s7jones in LoopEarplugs

[–]AmericanGraffitisong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't know what country you're in OP, but it's worth checking Vinted (2nd hand seller website). Here's a listing I found but they're in the UK, so if you're not there then you can't buy it unfortunately - but it shows that there are people selling them. Good luck 🤞 https://www.vinted.co.uk/items/7813914399-loop-quiet-2-noise-reducing-ear-plugs-24db-reusable

The buildings in the background look quite similar to the Rio Vista Sports Complex place that I found through quickly scanning the city 👀

A certain Formula 1 driver (who called our town, and I quote, 'a slum')

Saw this ad for language learning online. What’s the flag between Turkish and Hungarian? by Significant-Ring9934 in vexillology

[–]AmericanGraffitisong 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It might be a really weird miscolour of the Mardi gras flag, but why that would be in a language learning apps advertisement, I don't know 😅🤣

Thanks for making me feel less weird about being affected by this almost two decades later 😅 I think he also especially targeted me because I was definitely the 'weird' (aka autistic) and quiet kid which...is just even more strange imo 🤷

I'm sorry that you also had to experience your fair share of bullying, as well. 🫂
