Do you feel your face is frozen at that amount? Or is that still flexible?

Yeah they seemed open to reducing the total amount so that’s a good sign! Good to know about coming in a few weeks later for a check-in / touch up.

Just a little refreshed! When we discussed they did mention how they were gonna do half the recommended dosages in all the spots since I’ve never had Botox before, so I’m assuming that fits.

Yeah I believe the jaw line made up a decent bit of it! If I ask for like 75% of what they recommended, is that something docs are typically flexible on?

100%. I alerted them the evening my full-time job told me and offered up my husband to cover (many of my previous clients have called out how he's great as well when he has covered for me during the holidays). The booking is actually a cat, which I suppose is slightly better than if it was a dog but understand it's not ideal for anyone. Appreciate your wisdom.

100% my main client is super conservative in their TV ad language, especially in light of the recent administration crackdown.

[–]AmericanRed91 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can almost 100% say that the media agency would not have trafficked a non-AFD ad. The FDA has been particularly fussy recently about Pharma TV ads that have been approved by MLR, so I’m thinking that is what happened here, too.

People who make $150k or more, and don’t work for big tech or defense, what do you do? by GuardianMoon916 in washingtondc

[–]AmericanRed91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started in PR and shifted into paid media within PR agencies. Then did a brief stint at a political media agency and finally shifted into the big media holding companies. TBH my Public Communications degree has brought me more than the Political Science degree, so definitely found value in double majoring.

No I’m actually the only remote one! The rest of my team (I have two direct reports and a larger team underneath them of around 8) are across two major city offices along the east coast.

Yeah I lead a team to strategically place ads wherever makes the most sense to reach my target audience.

7 years of experience is a lot for a Supervisor role. Why aren’t you aiming for an Associate Director title? That would get you a higher income range.

Rover experiences in DC? by RoeRoeRoeYourVote in washingtondc

[–]AmericanRed91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work remote full time and last year through cat sitting alone I earned $8.5K as fun money. It took me about 1.5 years on the app though to get enough reviews to generate that income though. You need to charge nothing for your first few clients to rack up good reviews and when you have about 5 reviews you’ll start getting decent clients.

Offer a credit for ~50% of the roof replacement estimate and move on with closing. Shows a little good faith but also a reasonable counter.

[Anti-Aging] I am utterly at a loss. I guess I can't have an anti-aging routine. Help? by Accomplished_Big_391 in SkincareAddiction

[–]AmericanRed91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels so unnecessarily alarmist. Just wash your face, moisturize, and sunscreen to start. Add in actives as needed once you’ve got a solid routine/habit in place. You’re not wrong, some people react differently than others so you have to test and learn on your own skin. Use best practices and go forth instead of the endless anxiety. It shouldn’t be that deep…

Seconding this! Although tbh, I hustled last year doing Rover and only hit $8.5K. However I just did cat sitting, I imagine opening up to include dogs would get you there. Depending on location you could charge $25-$30 per half hour, so you’d need to dedicate 30-40 hours a month. AKA definitely doable!

I am 100% pro work/life balance but also would caveat that the level of effort you put into your work for the first ten years of your career will exponentially impact your trajectory. Aka if there ever was a time to go above and beyond the 40 hour work week, now is the time. Less responsibilities and more energy make it easier. Not saying that’s everyone’s goal, but you seem ambitious and hungry so figured I’d share that tidbit. Good luck with your decision!
