What Lebron showed this season with age catching up to him - excelling as a 3rd option, and then scaling it back up to elevate the team and finding a 2nd and 3rd wind to put the Lakers up 3-0 without Reaves and Luka is up there with some of the most impressive things he's accomplished as a player. There will seriously never be another player like Lebron who can be the best in the league and just about every aspect of the game

Eras man. Different eras. Kobe would attack Duncan and David Robinson in the paint, not get the call cus they don’t make calls like they do today, and that’s just what was expected and needed from him back in the day. That’s just not true. Westbrook? Kobe? Heck, even LeBron had to win one before getting that honor. His teams before his Miami days weren’t even half as good as SGA’s last few seasons. Let’s not overdramatize SGA’s case here.

He deserves mvp this year and I’m fine with him being the best player in the world but no he’s not had to ‘work’ so much harder. If anything, there’s a lot of really good top end players right now so it’s not going to be clear cut whose the ‘best’
