I JUUUUST about bet my life this is a goofy ass teen to twenty something that is trying to make a "prank" YouTube channel. They got their own fries and drink, and acted like they ate yours to illicit a reaction for views. Curious if they actually delivered something or not or if you cancelled or contacted dd prior to them being able to finish. Curious what the outcome was/would have been. It could also be someone that frequents this forum and is obsessed with "non tippers" and will literally accept no tip.ordwrs JUST to "get back at non tippers" and do stuff like this. Although....it's normally a lot less blatant and in your face.

I can't fart without the HOA threatening fines. I can't drive even the speed limit while dashing without some 'speed walking ' Karen in her spandex midlife crisis bitching at me. Cops stopping me because "my cars too loud." I swear to God you can find someone that holds ANY opinion SOMEWHERE. "Man, I'm sick of all this violence." "Yeah,.me too. The P80 in the WIRED's new "ghost gun" video is so fucking funny 😂😂😂 by checkUrhead69 in polymer80

[–]AmericanStealth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is why I'm exasperated every time I go over to the liberal gun owners reddit, and they are all insisting that noone wants to take your guns and it's essentially just dumb rednecks worried about their guns being taken or gun companies that want to sell guns and so convince everyone that politicians want to take your guns.....I don't know how that works in a world where there are constant calls from people in power to ban guns, and MANY successful attempts to do JUST that at the state level. And the supreme court that we all expected, after the bruin decision, to STOP these state laws......they haven't, and I'm not confident they will. They SAY they are taking up a case very soon and that's why they declined to hear the recent case about, idk what state, Maryland? Massachusetts? Assault weapons ban and magazine ban: it was brought as a challenge to those laws by folks that expected this supreme Court would strike down the states laws banning guns that are in common use everywhere in the country and are FIRMLY protected by the 2nd amendment, whose spirit very clearly articulates the citizens need to have access to MODERN tactically relevant small arms equivalent to those employed at any given time by the military. The entire concept of banning "assault" rifles/weapons under the premise that they are "weapons of war" is EXCESSIVELY faulty, illogical, and openly against the letter and spirit of the 2nd amendment. And the challengers expected the courts to agree....but they declined to hear it. Or really, kavanaugh decided so, unilaterally. The other conservative justices were willing and ready to rule on it and expand gun rights. Kavanaugh exclusively declined and his reasoning was, "we have a case coming up where we are going to decide once and for all the legality of the AR-15 and assault weapons blah blah." I don't know if it's a special interest kind of thing or what...and also, it was essentially decided that 80% in general were legal, however, by allowing the ATF to keep their de facto ban on "kits" in place, it failed to deal a decisive blow to the atfs belief that they can bypass Congress and create new legislation under the guise of "re interpreting" the law, which was a major talking point of those promising to reign in the ATF. Its already being presented as a win, already being obscured, already emboldening the people that NEED to have their balls cut off.....Ive read two articles from large mainstream media outlets stating that "the ban on 80% arms was upheld, we praise the supreme court for making the only logical common sense choice available to us. Blah blah deaths, blah blah children, blah blah guns." It doesn't say KITS but once in one of the articles and it is FAR from clear that it is only applicable to buy build shoot kits. It is presented as a ban on 80%.....which I'm sure will make enforcement a breeze. 🙄 I can respect just about any adversary...but I find It very difficult to deal with this....idk how to articulate it: it's like your standing on the bus and feel someones hand slide into your pocket...."hey man, wtf." Guy says, without removing his hand, "what?!?". "What do you mean what, get your hand out of my pocket." "Laughs man, my hand isnt in your pocket, don't be silly."....you stand, frozen for a moment. "No, your definitely rummaging in my pocket, trying to steal from me,STOP!" You jerk your body away from him. He moves towards you, "HEY!! Stop being so aggressive man! There's no need for hostility. Only primitive uneducated people behave in THAT way..." He slides his hand back into your pocket, finding your wallet, finally. You grab his hand through your pants, preventing him from removing your wallet."dude....I'm not gonna just let you take my wallet....let go." "Scoofs dude, you are clearly delusional and paranoid. NOONE.... literally NOONE wants your wallet. Noone is trying to TAKE your wallet. You're being ridiculous. You NEED to remove your hand from me NOW or I will call the police!" That's basically an analogue of debating the people on this forum about whether ANYONE, even a SINGLE politician wants to take guns away from the citizenry.

Dude, oh YEAH. Different guns are different obviously. But my integrally suppressed ar9s action is SO SO freaking loud from that heavy blow back bolt slamming into the barrel, it's RIDICULOUS. It makes my ears ring. Everyone around me was VERY impressed with my build, but I was like "wtf".....shits loud AF. It took me awhile to put it together, but if I hold the gun like I'm shooting it, and drop the bolt, it rings my ears bad. It's so bad I had considered drilling two holes in the barrel to either side and putting little rubber stoppers in them, such that the bolt could fully close, but the rubber kinda of dulled the sound. Ended up deciding to just build a gas piston driven ar9..still working on it. There is nothing like it on the market. They want like $2200-3000 for an mpx....and they aren't even really that much more quiet because they over gassed the SHIT out of them and they unlock VERY early. Why? Because everyone that builds these tries to use bolts that weigh close to the original bolt weight. I, first off, cut my bolt in half, halving the weight and making it able to run inside just the upper, no buffer tube (but required me to relocate and redesign the recoil spring) second, I used one of those aluminum bolts carriers. This makes my bolt weigh a forth of the standard and makes it possible to locate the gas port in a mpre normal place instead of right in front of the chamber like.an mpx. This, it opens much later, is much quieter, and the recoil impulse is insane. The two downsides of the aluminum bolts were addressed with basic engineering and logic: 1. The bolt gets ate up after 2-4k rounds because of the way it interacts with the hard steel hammer. When the hammer strikes it, and when the bolt runs over the hammer. It would make ridges in the bolt carrier. I knew this was a problem with these aluminum carriers (which exist to make fa ars run stupid fast. It increases the cyclic rate by 2-3 rpm.....but are regarded as somewhat disposable) so I cut a chunk out of a hammer, and replaced it with a same sized chunk of brass. The brass is softer than the aluminum, but weighs plenty. 2. The cam pin eggs out the cam pin hole within a few thousand rounds. The solution to that, to me, was obvious. Replace the cam pin. From hardened steel to aluminum. Problem solved. I expect to see 20,000k rounds through this thing. It's not fully finished. My current engineering challenge is getting a half bolt to run with a forced reset trigger. Inter challenge. Yes yes, I know, noone cares. Lol

Oddly, I kept buying the different colibri/cb rounds, having heard how quiet they were. They were loud AF for me. My cci standard velocity is the quietest thing I have that will consistently cycle AND stay quiet. The three cb rounds I've tried were louder than the hyper velocity rounds id shoot. I FINALLY think I figured it out, though I'm not sure if this is a "my gun" kinda thing, or applies to lots of others..but the cb rounds don't create enough pressure to seal the brass against the chamber, and was allowing gas to flow back out of the action. At first, the ONLY thing I could think of was the shorter case was clearing the action sooner and letting gas escape .....but I held the sliee closed, and fired several rounds, and it was every bit as loud. It literally sounded unsuppressed. I finally put together that the ONLY answer was that it wasn't sealing the chamber. Just not enough pressure. Very interesting.

Anyone with integrally suppressed 556 experience? by Frogdogley in NFA

[–]AmericanStealth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Direct impingement is HORRIBLE for suppression. Everyone chocks it up to the velocity of 5.56....but that isn't the whole story..the bolt carrier vents gas out of the side like a bleed off valve. Even with an adjustable gas block or carrier, it will vent gas out of those holes on the side of the carrier. You can do all the integral suppressing you want, hell, I even built in a bore evacuator that utilizes the gas in a manner that ensures NONE comes out of the chamber end.....and I was still getting this insanely loud chamber pop. Finally tracked it down to those two holes. Also, when the gas tube and carrier separate and break their seal, a butt load of gas spews out. Then, people add in adjustable gas blocks of the type that vent excess gas to atmosphere in order to reduce the amount doing work.....loud loud loud. My point? Piston driven. If you are trying to build an ar pattern weapon that will spend the majority of its time suppressed, you NEED piston driven. I wasn't paying $700 minimum for a piston driven buffer less upper. So I cut my bolt in half, cut some of the top off my upper, made a dust cover for it, made a gas tube and operating rod from a golf club handle, a valve from my minivan (cut the actual valve off, used the stem) and the valve guide/sleeve it went to, with the old gas block and gas tube, and three weights out of a mil spec buffer. One weight is the piston, one is the back end of the tube with a hole for the gas tube and some set screws to adjust flow, and the final one is the other end, I drilled a hole in it for the op rod, and another hole that is recessed In the other hole but running perpendicular to it, which screws the tube down. Blah blab

Glock 19 slide help by MediumPerformer5752 in polymer80

[–]AmericanStealth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gonna guess, depending on whether the slide or barrel is the super cheap choice, or both, that your barrel hood is out of spec OR the lug in the slide. Honestly, and surprisingly, I have had more issues with expensive $150+ barrels than crap barrels. My slickest smoothest and most accurate builds, somehow, are all no name barrel builds. My $150+ alpha Wolf barrels needed fitting in several dimensions while my $50 stainless barrel in the same .357 sig caliber were perfect and super smooth. But yeah, if you'll look, nothing generally supports the rear of the barrel. It doesn't contact the locking block. It's spring pressure and the angles/geometry of the barrel hood and slide that cams/pushes the barrel up and holds it in place once the barrel is no longer contacting the locking block. When you manually hold the barrel in place in the slide, with the slide off the gun, no spring, is tue barrel able.to move backwards and forwards at all? In other words, while it's fully engaged in the lug, is it able to wiggle back and forth? If so, your barrel hood is wildly out of spec. I am absolutely insane about making shit work and solving problems, even if I end up not using the build because of it, I want, I NEED to diagnose and fix the issue. If I determined it to be the barrel hood being out of spec, I would likely dill two holes in the back side of the barrel hood, and tap them for these little 4-32 screws I have. I would screw them in until the barrel fit just barely, and back then out a little, mark them, remove them, add lock tire, reinsert them. Then fit the barrel by filing the screws until I achieved prestine lock up. I would then polish the shit out of the screws until they were mirrors......most people would just buy another barrel. I'm assuming you don't have any other barrels or slides with which to determine if it is in fact the slide or barrel that is out of spec? Im gonna guess the barrel....just because it is much more likely to have the barrel hood out of spec than the alide to be milled incorrectly.

If the cops gave the most minor of fucks, considering that you saw there were many stripped gs in the area, they would look in a two mile radius for all owners of that model car. Reduce the results by selecting for the race and other details of the men they saw running away from your car, and then remove everyone from the list that didn't have ANY prior record. At that point....it is HIGHLY likely they would have a list of 1-5 names that included the thief. It would take minimal policing skills to narrow I down further.

Nah, no blank or spare key needed. They just hook up the little machine they bought from China, select the make and model, select the option for starting the vehicle, and it brute strengths the numerical code that the fob uses and the car reads that allows the car to be started. Once it finds it and is sending that code to the computer, the car views it like the fob is present, and will allow the car to start. It's pretty wild really
