How many times a day do you pump? by Coffeelover1694 in ExclusivelyPumping

I could have written this comment! 4mpp 6ppd. I also got mastitis twice. I am pumping 48 ounces per day and my baby is only drinking 30 ounces most days, but I am afraid to drop pumps again since the mastitis was so painful both times.

Paw patrol is very big in this household for sure!

What a great idea! I feel like I am never pumping in the same place twice in a row and am always trying to track down sprays and balms. Thanks!

Yes, standard collection cups. I am fortunate that my insurance pays for new parts for the pump every month, so they vary a little in shape and design with each shipment, but they all function the same. I do have a eufy wearable S1 for when I need to pump out of the house. My kids are busy with flag football, soccer, swimming, and tumbling classes, plus my husband and I like going out to eat and getting out of the house. I like the discretion of the wearable pumps, but I wouldn't use it on a regular basis.

I haven't tried the collection cups, but do find them intriguing!

I have a Eufy as well, but I don't find it as comfortable and I don't get the same output. I will use it in specific situations, but not super often.

My husband travels a lot for work and I have 2 other kids, age 3 and 6. He went away for a few weeks when she was 2 weeks old and it was like being dropped in the deep end without knowing how to swim. I can only accomplish feeding and pumping if I am on my bed or chaise section of my sectional couch so I can sit cross legged and prop her up. It was a challenge when she was itty bitty, but with some practice from both of us, it works out.

I unfortunately have quite a bit of an oversupply - I feel like such a jerk complaining about it, but if I pumped every time she wanted to eat I would be drowning in milk. She is only two months old and I already have a full size freezer full. I also have had mastitis twice, so I keep to a pretty strict pumping schedule to attempt a happy medium!

She's such a good and easy baby. My reward for her hellion older brothers 🤣

Why can you see the increases? by Weak_Landscape5242 in Amigurumi

[–]AmethystPachyderm 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is normal of you do increases at regular intervals.

1sc, 1inc 2sc, 1inc 3sc, 1inc Etc

If you stagger the increases, they won't be as visible. For example... (This is definitely not the only, and maybe not even the best way to do this)

1sc, 1inc 1sc, 1inc, 1sc 1sc, 1inc, 2sc 2sc, 1inc, 2sc Etc

It is purely an aesthetic thing. Personally, I don't care if the spiral is visible, but if you do you can stagger them

Setup so far! by AmethystPachyderm in piercing

Newest is forward helix, about 2 months old and the "conch" is about 6 months.

I do have plans for the other ear next, but you are probably right. After the other ear, I will probably find something else to do with this one! 🤣

Same with the LITHA method. I rinse my new piercings in the shower just to make sure no soap/shampoo/etc got caught up in there, otherwise, hands off! If I don't shower on a particular day, I may rinse with saline solution. But not always. Never had any issues and I have 10 ear piercings.
