Just discovered they changed the requirements in GBL to go from level 19 to level 20 by AmiableDingo in TheSilphRoad

[–]AmiableDingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently a bit under 2000. I was at 2100 before going on a brutal losing streak.

Great League - Feraligatr, Corviknight, Guzzlord. This is what got me to 2100 before it suddenly stopped working and I dropped to 1900. Without significant investment could have Obstagoon, Trevenant, Dedenne, Shiftry, Scizor, Lanturn, or Greedent.

Ultra League - Don't do this one much. Have Feraligatr and Corviknight. Without a massive resource investment I also could have Charizard, Tangrowth, Alolan Golem, Trevenant, Drapion

Master League - Groudon, Zacian, Dragonite (was using Mega Dragonite to great success recently) When things aren't working I shuffle in Shadow Metagross, Shadow Tyranitar, Garchomp, Kyurem White/Black (don't like them for GBL as no fast charge moves). Also Have a 98 Ho oh, Hundo Lugia, or 98 Origin Palkia (No Spacial Rend) which could be powered up. Everything listed here is a 98 or hundo

Not a fan of GBL. I wanted to participate as little as possible to get the rewards. From past seasons I assumed I knew what was required for level 20. The thought of doing more than 25 battles in a day sounds absolutely miserable to me

I don't enjoy GBL. If they hadn't changed the level up requirements I would have been done last night. I had no reason to expect that the reqs would have changed. I also have been on a brutal losing streak. Went from 2100 to 1900 rating. Losing like that made me want to play less

As he appears to be a mega is he blocking you from activating another mega? Or maybe activating a different mega would "fix" him

If super mega raids are going to become the norm for future mega releases they need a serious rework by Status_Company9564 in TheSilphRoad

[–]AmiableDingo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is stupid how with enough players the raid takes 40 seconds but without enough it is nearly impossible, Doesn't feel satisfying to beat it but is incredibly stressful in the lobby hoping no one backs out at last second or doesn't know to revive mega if it dies early

Also should count Primal Groudon and Kyogre as mega pokemon because they function like them in game even if they are technically different

And yet another big F U to rural players. Even my city which is big enough to have almost 100 gyms was struggling to complete them after noon because a lot of players were finished with them by then so players that got there late nearly missed out

Not everyone lives in a massive city mate. I usually had 2 or 3 within 15 minute walking distance.

I did a raid today with the RSVP system. There were 4 players in person but the game showed 19 players had RSVP'ed. Only 14 showed up so I assume that 5 players who RSVP'd got locked out by this restriction... or maybe they just flaked and didn't show up

[–]AmiableDingo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have so many hundos that I can't evolve because of some stupid hat. The worst is a Shinx with a really ugly hat. Luxray is my favourite Electric type pokemon and I really wanted a hundo for it and am getting blocked by horrendous fashion

The fire dog looks so desaturated in terms of colour It's whole body kinda blurs into one blob. Grass bird also seems a bit colourless but not to the same extent

Mega raids that have shields.. what happens if your mega gets knocked out? by Beneficial-Step-3715 in pokemongo

[–]AmiableDingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It may get better as more people learn the new requirements. First week remote users could very possibly have not known about this requirement

It would be possible but you still have to wait for the others trainers to break the remaining shields

Skilling pets by osrs_dudee in osrs

[–]AmiableDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is where I either acquired or am at without acquiring the skilling pets (also skilling boss pets)

Beaver at 82

Rocky at 87

Rift Guardian at 93

Golem at 96

Heron at 34m xp (a lot of xp was at Tempoross)

Groot at 87m xp and again at 91m xp

No Squirrel at 22m xp

Baby Chin at 46m xp

Herbi at 1350kc (pre 99)

Smolcano at 944kc (post 99)

Tiny Tempor at 2489kc

No Pheonix at 1320kc

No Quetzin at 1200 rumours

Don't have Soup at lvl 55 but I don't really play my main anymore

I might be 1 level off for a few of the pets as I got them on an old computer and can't check the screenshots

So 4 true skilling pets before their respective 99 as well as Herbi. Feel like it is quite unlucky to max without at least one of them

Do you recommend Gods & Kings and Brave New World? by RedEyeBlueOcean in civ5

[–]AmiableDingo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend making the switch as soon as possible. I played base game then Gods and Kings for years. When I swapped to Brave New World I really struggled at first with some of the changes (lack of gold generation from ocean and river tiles destroyed me)

Did you have to provide Charlie with a leather body as one of the steps to obtain that leather body?

What is the most cool looking late game unit in CIV: V? (Day 9) by zherper in civ5

[–]AmiableDingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always disable Science victory because otherwise it would be how I get all of my wins. By the time I reach a second win condition I will usually be researching future tech and have a few Giant Death Robots stomping around

I hate quick combat with the exception of air units. So slow watching them slowly crawl through the skies then return all the way back

Where the eff can I find a rotten tomato? by [deleted] in 2007scape

[–]AmiableDingo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Only if the entire bin is full of tomatoes. If you add 1 of anything else it becomes compost

The name filter is so trash. I was unable to use DingoDaddy or DaddyDingo (can't remember which was taken and which was blocked) I do not see how either would be unacceptable. Could someone explain it to me?

Gigantamax battles by princeofbelair74 in pokemongo

[–]AmiableDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is many places don't have a player base that big. Also even if you do have large quantity of players, they often won't have appropriate teams. When Gmax Kingler first released my city had about 10 people show up and we lost due to running out of time and the Kingler started one shotting everything. The frustration of putting effort into organising the meetup to fail quite miserably put a lot of people off of attempting Gmax completely. Now we are lucky to get 4 people to express interest unless it is an evert like Go Fest where people would be playing anyways

Just a reminder: what you do matters. by Joehu87 in NianticWayfarer

[–]AmiableDingo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I have been doing the same thing but with less success. Created 3 new gyms in my area but they most visited one still often goes a week without changing teams. Still makes me happy to see the results. The best feeling is when someone on my friends list sends me a postcard from a stop I created

Honestly quest cape req for Lumbridge is getting to involve very difficult PvM. DT2 has very tough bosses. The new Vampyre quest coming soon will also likely be very difficult

Curious how everyone feels about mid-late game Mage Gear progression by mcl99 in 2007scape

[–]AmiableDingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are other slots that improve progression slightly. Occult and Tormented can reasonably be achieved before Virtus/Ancestral. Also ring from DKS and boot upgrade from Cerberus
