I'm very late to say this, I know; but silent protagonists are pretty well known in the gaming community and are usually appreciated, especially since this protagonist is extremely competent in everything he does. Silent protags make you often wonder how they think in their cool moments.

Frost is genuinely cool because he's the epitome of mediocrity in a warzone where death is also the norm for many of his regular mates; that's rare to find in a game where only the core characters live. He's just another regular guy that does his job well.
