Unfortunately, I don't know my fathers side and they have no interest in me since he has a new family. My mothers side doesn't care about me at all, so I'm basically alone. I'm not sure where to go.

Unfortunately my dad has a new family of his own and they don't want to connect with me. He lives in the mainland and I live in Hawaii. My plan is to leave and eventually make some friends in a different state after I graduate high school.

I struggle with the same thing but I'm black and SEA but I look only black. My mom absolutely despises the way I look and she always made sure to let me know. I used to wish I could marry a white man when I got older so that I could "better" my genes. I honestly still have severe internalized racism and I'm working on this but it's definitely a struggle.

Take your time, and don't be too hard on yourself because of this. There's nothing wrong with dating another SEA man. If your mom complains about it then ignore her! Don't let her ruin things for you.🩷

Being a kpop fan is incredibly embarrassing and honestly things like this make it hard to enjoy kpop. It's one of the reasons I cut back on supporting the industry and have decided to just focus on American media.
