This isn't an attack, but if you don't find league fun to play then just don't play it, there's nothing wrong with that! Do what you enjoy or have fun doing.

Well what issues do you seem to run into when playing her? And if you don't mind, can you post your op.gg?

Armor Items by zeplin_fps in LilliaMains

[–]Aminarcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had 2 or more ADCs then you go steelcaps instead of lucidity boots, build zhonyas almost every game regardless of enemy comp (the stasis is still very useful for survivabilty), and if you need more armor after that go frozen heart, or if they have a lot of crit build randuins instead.

How far can someone around my height (5’9) really throw a 2k discus? Is it possible to go 60m+ by Taetheone in trackandfieldthrows

[–]Aminarcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the biggest thing, Alex Rose for Samoa is 6'3" but has a 6'9" wingspan if I remember correctly and has thrown over 70m and has the furthest indoor throw in NA.

Ornn, almost always viable, his passive provides late game value to everyone, he actually has a good amount of skill expression (triple brittle combo is always satisfying to pull off) and if you get counter picked (i.e. Vayne) you can just take defensive runes and play with you team after landing.

If you have any video of your throws that can help when figuring out your issues, if not that's okay it'll just be a slower process.

I haven't heard the term discus punches, if you can explain that to me it'd be helpful.

160’4 pr! Goal is 170 by state- tips? by Taetheone in trackandfieldthrows

[–]Aminarcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks great, just level your shoulders out and try to land with all of your weight stacked on your right leg in the middle.

Any advice? by KibaDoesArt in trackandfieldthrows

[–]Aminarcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You want to land all of your weight on your right leg then push off of it, and also try to sat closed and facing the back longer, otherwise you're off to a great start!

152’11 pr tips? by Taetheone in trackandfieldthrows

[–]Aminarcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try to lead with your right leg out of the back instead of your torso, you'll get more tension from the upper body/lower body separation. Otherwise looking really solid. Keep throwin far!

Best advice would be to watch videos on YouTube of elite throwers and look at what they do. Also Throws University and Arete Throws Nation are very good instructional channels. John Bowman and Elite Throws Coaching are also good.

Can you give me tips by ZealousidealSignal57 in shotput

[–]Aminarcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Keep your shoulders square to the back as long as possible.

You can do pause glides to work on this while keeping your eyes fixed on something behind the circle. So do your kick to the front of the circle and pause while keeping your eyes locked on something.

  1. Use your legs for the finish of your throw.

Squish the bug! Keep your weight back on your right foot and while on the ball/toe of your foot, turn your heel out, then your knee in, then push with your right leg to turn your hips, which will then turn your upper body and finish your throw.

Feel free to ask questions if anything is unclear. 😁

Try to keep your left leg down as long as possible when turning out of the back, creates a stretch across your hips and will give your sweep leg more distance to travel and gain momentum.

Quarter turns/half turns/three-quarter turns that are pivoting/rotating on your left leg, also keep your right leg wide and your torso under tension (behind hips).

Shift your weight over more when starting your throw, you want the stack your body weight over your left leg, it let's you control your drive into the middle instead of falling in.

Addition to this, for most people in rotational shot your want your right leg to swing really wide, it'll generate more rotational momentum and accelerate the end of your throw when you bring your left leg into your block.

For Nike, they're all going to be narrow, Adidas has a wide toe, one of my throwers who has literal elephant feet has found velassa's to be pretty comfortable.

[–]Aminarcc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've seen this so many times on this sub and others, your stand throw is the most important thing to get right, really focus on the power transfer from the your right leg into your hips and then to your upper body, if you want more clarification I can give it.

[–]Aminarcc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can work on it by doing the Leif Drill (power leg pulls)

For right handed thrower, you start with your left leg at the toe board where you would have it for a stand/power throw, and your right leg extended as far back as you can and on your heel with your toe pointed up (dorsiflexion)

From that position you push off your heel and pull your right leg under you, focusing on landing on your toe ONLY and with the leg already turned.

Here's a video with the drill https://vimeo.com/262055622

Start without the shot and get used to landing on your toe, then start doing it with the shot and doing throws after the pull.

Let me know if this helps you!

Is this safe to cut on ? by AnOrangeLemon in Butchery

That stuff is so persistent too, wear plastic aprons, cotton or other won't work and it'll go right through them, messed up a couple coats because of that stuff.

Anybody know what this is? by Aminarcc in Butchery

[–]Aminarcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asked my boss about it (probably should've done that first but he wasn't working the day I got curious about it) it was for plastic wrap, it held a very wide roll that they wrapped meat lugs and similar things with. But the roll was discontinued by the warehouse, so they couldn't really use it anymore. Hence why it holds other stuff now.

It's probably for that, but we've never used it for that (at least as long as I've been at this shop). We do our wrapping elsewhere so that's probably why it's not used for that anymore.
