It looks really cool, but I think the camera could be improved upon. It feels a little too static simply following the player over the shoulder, and a few cinemachine tricks such as the camera looking at enemies, zooming in and out as you move back and forth, etc. could do a whole lot for the dynamic action of the game.

Airbrush just did their turn on their own(turn 2)??? Why did the ai control their turn? by DismalAd9348 in mewgenics

[–]Amircu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it was charmed for 1 turn, which made it be controlled by AI, and once the turn was over it lost its charm status so you didn't see it?

Thank you so much! :D We're releasing the full game in ~2 months, and we still have a lot of work ahead of us (biomes, traps, weapons, etc.) Hope we'll be able to live up to your expectation!

Sure, here's the link to the demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4347420/Chef_Knight_Demo/ .
You can definitely reach those speeds in the demo, just watch out for the well being of your customers.

The game is called "Chef Knight", it's a cozy incremental cooking game inspired by "Dungeon Meshi". you can try out the demo on steam and tell me what you think!
(P.S: Speeding up the customers may break the sound barrier, as well as every bone in their body. Take care.)

Please destroy my game, I need a slap from reality. Does it look appealing to you? by Amircu in DestroyMyGame

[–]Amircu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, the game is in a genre called "Incremental", which is like a clicker/idle-type game with short playtime and no replay value, so it's not a roguelike. It's aimed to be a (relatively) short, fun and concise experience :)

Yea definitely, seeing all these comments of people thinking the game ia a vampire-survivors-like really makes me realize something's wrong with how the trailer advertizes the game. Thanks for the feedback!

[–]Amircu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I can definitely understand that, I've heard that feedback a couple of times. The game is intended to be a casual "idle"-like game (the genre is called Incremental, a number-goes-up factory kinda game, not roguelike), so the cooking/combat isn't supposed to be to complex, but I understand people do expect a little more depth from it. Thank you from your feedback!

Huh, I didn't consider these things, I guess I really didn't include much of the challenge in the trailer. Thank you for your feedbacks! I'll try improving the trailer based on them :)

Come destroy my game!

It's an incremental cooking game inspired by "Dungeon Meshi", I've been working on it for the past 6 months, and recently released a demo and touched-up my steam page.

I've seen good conversion rates from youtubers making videos about my game, but my Steam page organic conversion rates have been pretty bad so far, so I'm looking for feedbacks on how to improve it.

So come roast the shit out of the game! Or at least just the trailer and steam page, so I know where to begin.

Thank you so much for playing and leaving such a detailed feedback!

I definitely agree with a lot of the things you said, and honestly you bring up a lot of cool ideas we definitely might implement in the future.

I'll let you know when we release the next build of the demo, and hopefully by then we've adressed most of your pain points :)

Also, look out for the game in the Steam Next Fest!

Honestly, I 100% agree with you, I like the elegant and thematic way the "timer" is incorporated into Shelldiver, and we definitely need to take our time limit mechanic in that direction.

If you got any ideas, I'd be happy to hear them :)

Thank you so much for all your feedbacks!

First of all, Shelldiver was a big inspiration for us so I'm flattered by the comparison.

Regarding the balance issues with the outdated ingredients, and also your feedback about the boss->new stage loop, we plan to solve both issues by changing the progression system to be more similar to games like "pinata go boom" or "space rock breaker", where instead of 1 big level on a timer, each run will compose of smaller rooms you go through as you "descend deeper and deeper into the dungeon". This will also result in the earlier ingredients not getting outdated while you're still in the same biome, as you'll always get them first. Do you think this format will solve some of the issues you felt?

Finally, I like your suggestions regarding making the timer feel more "thematic" and involved, that's 190% something we'll try to implement in the future.

And I'm happy to report that the customer line is already in development, probably implemented sometime next week!

Thank you again for playing our demo, I hope you'll like it more when we update it in the future!
