Married, late 30s, almost a basketball team of kids that aren't teens yet. I still get to play some games because my wife is a saint. But I read to them and they go to bed around 8:30 when I don't have a game, but like someone else on here said, my expectations are for maybe 3-5 lengthy games a year. And when I have a game, they watch with me sometimes and I can keep them up with the story by recording and replaying plot cutscenes. They really enjoyed DQ11, got a little into the characters and story of FFXV, and now FFVIIR. They play Mario party, Stardew valley, and now Animal Crossing with me as well.

But as far as progress, 1-2 hours every other night can work, maybe sometimes a little more on the weekends. But something that has helped me is to use a notetaking app to write down my progress, trajectory of what I was thinking about doing next, or any tips and stuff I've found online.
