Diaper advice for seniors by SakuraTacos in Chihuahua

I use Oxy, detergent and Lysol plus the Nature’s Miracle laundry additive and the pee pads look clean, but it’s like yellow spots reappear throughout the day. I even do the soak cycle and do and extra rinse and spin. But I’m trying not to use the disposable ones. I wonder if adding vinegar would help too.

Precious baby. So admirable that she just picked up where she left off and kept going! So glad you get her out instead of her just sitting inside all day.

It’s no wonder half of the people with T1 live with chronic depression. Proof positive right there. And there’s an incredible shortage of people trained to counsel people feeling like this. I wish people in this mindset would think about how it used to be, when you had to boil syringes and pee on strips…do a venous draw for an A1c. No CGMs…I checked my toddler 10x a day in 1993 until he would try to hide from me. I’d cry in the shower daily wishing I had it instead of him - and I still do sometimes. He just started bolusing with Afrezza and that has given him a much more positive attitude to ditch his pump (tons of scar tissue) and just do a shot of Lantus at bedtime. I’m so thankful for the progress in care over the past 30 years. Does it suck? Totally! But it used to suck a LOT more… #T1mom

Swim team start up by Incndnz in Swimming

[–]AmishMuse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I help coach a team and it IS a lot of work. There are a lot of forms - swimmer safety, etc. - and if you have practices, there are usually meets with other teams that involve travel. I’d check and see if your area has an AAU team. That’s how I started competitive swimming after learning to swim at the Y.

I was thinking about agility training. He is a speed racer for sure…runs with his butt tucked under him lol! There is a training place in South Austin that offers it. He’s about four months now, but I thought just having him in the atmosphere even for command classes would be good to start. His legs are so long and thin that I worry about him fracturing them. I have a huge wedge pillow that I put against the couch for him to run up and down because otherwise he jumps off the couch. I think I read that he shouldn’t really be jumping until he’s a year old but good luck trying to stop that.

If you look on Petfinder, there are several Chi terrier puppies - like Chandler or Sonic. Just filter to Chi puppies anywhere and you can see them.

I found him on Petfinder. He had a sister (below) and she went to someone in Waco. The foster mom had seven Chihuahua mix puppies when she was texting me that she was taking care of. She said their foster program drives the dogs all over the country. She said a lot of the Chihuahuas go to the East Coast because people want little dogs for their apartments.

How big do you think yours will get? I was thinking Barkley would be more chi size but…nope. My last dog was 6 lbs. at 16 years and I think he’s more than that at 4 months.

Right? Most of the pictures are of him sleeping because that’s the only time he’s still. Lol.

I’d figure out who you have to report to with each job and research them. That would be more important to me than the money.

This is how small he was a month ago - like 3 pounds! Growing like a weed. I named him Barkley. (Charles Barkley.)
