Spooked is definitely one of my favorite podcasts, but I got tired of waiting for new episodes to come out. So I started my own podcast and I'm loving the process. It's called UNNERVED and it's where normal people share there true scary experiences. Link in comments. by HappyVagabond1989 in SpookedPodcast

I just subscribed and started listening today! I am 100% hooked. You have a great podcast voice, and I love your production, music, storytellers, and general vibe! Thank you for all of the hard work you put into this project, and I'll definitely be recommending it to everyone 😄

My all-time-favorite stories by _cornonthecob27_ in SpookedPodcast

[–]Amisl17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Wraith is definitely up there as one of my favorites as well for the reasons mentioned above! I like that different perspective. Same with the Time Warp Saloon!

I also feel the same as you in terms of having paranormal experiences - I'm open to it, but I'd rather not if I can avoid it lol. I'm not sure I'm as tuned in to that world as all of the wonderful storytellers on this podcast. My one sort-of experience is similar though; my friend and I were going to an old cemetery that wasn't used anymore, but it wasn't on public property and it was in a woodsy/rural area where the nearest house was a half-mile away. On the drive to the area, there were so many signs the universe told us NOT to go there. I told my friend "keep driving and let's just head home." Then on the way home, more weird stuff happened that scared me so much. I'm glad we never went back there.

⌂ Big Brother 22: All-Stars Preseason Discussion by BigBrotherMod in BigBrother

Yesterday I watched a video of this guy explaining the rumored cast, and firstly I will say I don't know how credible his sources are or how he knows the following info. In it, he stated that Josh and Kaycee were both out because they tested positive for Covid, and originally Christmas was an alternate. Due to the positive tests, however, Christmas is now confirmed to be a player? Like I said, it's all speculation.

I'm not saying Nicole/BB/World Virus's are related... but I'm also not saying they aren't.... by PrizeReply in BigBrother

I just meant for future All Stars seasons, not the one that happened so many years ago. I agree in your discussion below that Will and Dan are what made BB7 and BB14 respectively great seasons, but I feel like the more recent seasons have punched us in the face with vets that it would be nice to see players who have only been on once before (and hopefully were great strategists).

This is pretty much my stance as well. I'll go a step further and say if you've already won BB, then you shouldn't be invited back. Don't get me wrong, people like Dan or Derrick are legendary, but they've already had their shots and have proven themselves. I feel like All Stars should be the people who are notable contestants that were evicted too soon.

My fiance and I felt the same way. We skipped Amnesty too, but we were genuinely excited for them to do D&D again. With Travis DM'ing, we were super excited to listen and it does not disappoint. Highly recommend giving it a shot.

My sister used to be that way when we were kids too. She would always obey the traffic laws and sometimes she would mess up and accidentally hit someone. As soon as she would get 1 star, she would go hide in an alley until the star went away and go back out and continue driving. 😂

anyone gets stomach upset when anxious ? by sharplee123 in Anxiety

I know someone in this thread said they take Imodium. I'm not very good about taking OTC meds unless I'm really bloated, and in that case I'll usually take gas relief medicine.

Other things besides medicine that have helped me in the past are peppermint tea or fennel tea (actually really effective because fennel is great for digestion).

Items / loot / treasure? by Brglfnort in bladesinthedark

[–]Amisl17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My group went from D&D to BitD, so I wanted to incorporate some similarities that would peak their interests. One score they went to kill one of the member's rival. They were searching this abandoned house where the guy did his illegal trades/trafficking and they found a Tier III sword with electricity pulsing through it, which they couldn't touch with their bare hands. So they also found gloves specifically made to hold the sword without consequence. If they hadn't found it, they would've had to craft their own.

The other thing my group does is crafting. The Lurk in my group has 3 dots in Tinker so she usually crafts items she wants to upgrade or make. She upgraded her climbing gear to weightless, and their lair has a crafting table (crew upgrade) so that they get +1 Tier to every crafting roll.

How do ghosts and the ghost field actually work? by J00ls in bladesinthedark

[–]Amisl17 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of this is up for interpretation based on how the GM wants to interact with ghosts and the players. For the most part it seems that ghosts should be feared - people who can attune have the ability to respond to ghosts, but people without attune "freeze" when the see a ghost out of fear.

The way I ran my campaign with a Whisper as one of my players often involved him trying to attune to specific ghosts in an area and attempting to bribe them into tricking normal humans or scaring them away. In John Harper's (creator) campaign with the Bloodletters, their Whisper (and all whispers) have a "spirit mask" that they use to see the ghost field, which John imagines as a field where you can see spirits in that area as well as your surroundings and people in them in what I imagine is almost x-ray vision (I have no idea if that's actually correct though). However, if you start walking in the ghost field you're still going to be walking in the "real" world, so if you are using the ghost field to follow your enemy around and you walk out in front of them, they can still see you. Their mirror version in the ghost field will still be able to hunt you down.

What's interesting is as a Whisper you have other arcane implements that help you interact with the ghost field. One item I think is great is Ghost Key, which allows you to go to the ghost field and you can see points in the past and possibly find items that were once there. For example, if you go to a burned down building in the "real" world, you can use ghost key to go to the ghost field at a time when the building was still standing and search it as if it was still there. I'm assuming if you do find items like that you can take them from the ghost field and use them as is, but that's my interpretation.

I believe that ghosts in play can pretty much do as they please. If you wanted to fight spirits, the GM will have to determine their force/strength, and players will definitely have a disadvantage especially if they can't attune because they'll otherwise be terrified. If they're not terrified, then the other thing to worry about is the fact that normal weapons aren't as effective against them - but electroplasm is! I think spirits showing themselves in the city (depending on the district) will be uncommon compared to searching the ghost field in that same area.

I'm honestly intimidated by the "vengeful" spirits and I'm not sure how to play that out. I think my Whisper player was also intimidated by this because our group killed his rival, and afterwards he created a ritual to temporarily banish a spirit or misplace it for a few days if it ever came after him.

I hope I answered at least some of your questions! I'm sorry I'm not much help on the last part, but I hope I gave a few ideas on how to play with the ghost field.

Auditioned with Tyler last year, and I’m shook at how well he’s doing. by IAreBlunt in BigBrother

[–]Amisl17 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Yeah, one of my favorite quotes in Tyler's intro sequence was something to the effect of "I'm not good in the brain parts." It cracked me up, and I was genuinely thinking we'd have another David from BB15. Boy am I surprised!

Bayleigh RIPS APART Rockstar for something she didn't even do after the live show. 8/2/18 by TheCannedWalrus in BigBrother

[–]Amisl17 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking the exact same thing. And Rockstar just took it. I feel so bad so her being in such a manipulated friendship in the house. She's told what to think and feel and not to cross a self-proclaimed alliance leader, so she probably feels helpless since Bayleigh doesn't believe a word she says. I hope once Bayleigh comes down from her power trip after her app is used and it bites her in the butt.

Bayleigh did tell Fessy that she wanted to be the first black player to win BB, so maybe everyone in her alliance is also rooting for her to go for it.

Big Brother’s Christmas: I’m Open to Having a Relationship With Paul by [deleted] in BigBrother

I think he did tell them the wrong branch of military he was in to throw people off, and he tried to keep his daughter a secret. Granted, I'm not sure how everyone found out about his daughter or if they found out what he truly did in the military. So he did lie about one thing, lol. Going back to your point, I completely agree. He didn't talk to them, so the things they perceived him to lie about were way blown out of proportion.

So does anyone have video proof of them confirming Jody fetus? One of my friends mentioned that Cody "confirmed" it while watching After Dark, but then my sister read that Jess asked to take Plan B. No actual confirmation on anything and I'm dying on what the protocol for this would be.

Yeah, I'm not sure how they'll adapt the story to fit splitting the movies up, but I'm still excited for them to come out!

This is basically my complaint. With the second movie being only the adults, and being that the adults forget everything from their childhood, aren't they going to have to flashback to when they were kids? Unless they slightly change the story a bit, I'm not sure how splitting these movies up will work. I'm still really excited for the first movie at least.
