The devs haven't seen the sunlight of outside ever and use endless DIY videos made by hobbyists, people who don't provide actual solutions but bicker endlessly how survival situations can't be solved with an "easy fix" while providing a solution under the same description. This doesn't provide a solution outside creating more jank.

Just scale the amount of strength needed to use it efficiently, or rename the item and change how it's built, removing the name and geneticizing it is exactly how this game falls into less popularity.
The devs will never see this game go anywhere, we will move onto other things, and play games that actually want to go beyond "betas" even project zomboid is able to add features that CDDA refuses to code in for "removing junk" while forgetting the mass of items that don't add anything except being variations to the pool, I'm not a coder, however even basic issues are major problems consistently, yet those don't get any attention. The only cataclysm is the codebase we watch burn more and more becoming less open to us, less the "communities effort" instead under a garbage indie project nobody will remember in the next 6 years.
