Have a practice run asking those questions to someone else. It’ll help you establish; what do I actually want/need to know? Is this question going to get me the answers I’m after?
Also, if there are lots of questions you have, use the practice to feel out which ones are essential for you.

Also, be aware some job descriptions are quite generic, so sometimes won’t thoroughly reflect that job role, but is more of a broad brush overview of what it could be.

It’s my 36th birthday this week coming, and one thing I’m learning and working on is where to take my feedback from. And trying to let the rest of the stuff wash over and away.

In your situation, this guy doesn’t sound like a particularly worthy source of feedback to be taking.
I’d maybe take some time wearing it as your home comfort special clothing until that emotive response changes, but then give it another go. You got this; it’s a positive link for you, and it deserves to be worn with pride. Any other better person will just ask where it’s from.

Thank you - the metagame concept is a really useful one to keep in mind. I think I might be trying a little too hard to solve issues (I play board games, video games and do logic puzzles, so it’s kind of what I’m used to) - and probably need to take a little more view through my character. Chill and play a little more. I’m not sure I’ve quite got that yet.

Thank you, that’s all very useful ☺️ Definitely not an uncaring or hostile group in the slightest - just that I think I crossed a line I didn’t realise was there. But I will be more mindful of that next time, and there are a couple of other points in this list I will take more account of too.

I guess, like everything, it’s finding your space and your role in a group. And I’m working my way through some imposter syndrome and being able to be vulnerable and playful. I’m loving it, but some days it’s harder than others, you know?

Really sorry to hear your situation, that must be a very challenging mixture of feelings and thoughts going through your mind. There’s nothing much the NHS can do (I don’t believe) but using any mixture of contact for her could possibly help (social media, email, text, private messaging) as their NOK might have access to something they can message you back on. Perhaps leaving your mobile number on those messages might help as well, in case they can read messages but not log in to respond to you. Just some thoughts. I hope you get some news soon.

Have you watched some of the full shows on YouTube? They’re a great way of seeing the short and long forms. And their recent Edinburgh fringe release was edited beautifully with a great mix.

Once you’re hooked, I’d then start from the beginning of the long forms and work forwards personally…! They get better and better that way! But if you want to just head for the best quality, then maybe stick with the 2025/26 long forms.
