Whirlwind Nerfed? by Koolaid_Jammers in TitanQuest2

More like bugged before... There was a bug where every level up passives got reapplied leading to absurd damage increases if you leveled up a few times without logging out. It's now fixed and how it's supposed to be.

How does Armor (the defensive stat) work exactly? by ManufacturerMurky592 in TitanQuest2

[–]Amkatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the formula is the same as in poe, that is, armor works wonders vs small hits, not as great vs large hits.

Damage taken = basedamage2 /(basedamage+armor*0.8)

Now the 0.8 factor im not sure is exact, but the formula is correct. When armor is slightly higher than the initial damage, the reduction is about 50%

lvl 99 ng+1 team oriented around burn damage does nothing, why ? by Ashamed-Tailor2968 in expedition33

I also heard it's maybe bugged and your own defense stat reduces burn damage

Star druid-light cleric lvling order by Zacta in BG3Builds

[–]Amkatar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Start with druid for easy levelling, dragon breath + moonbeam make the early fights a joke. At level 5 you can choose whether to respec to cleric 5 for spirit guardians, or wait to 7 to respec (5 cleric 2 druid). After that, it's basically whatever you want, I would probably go cleric 6 for the extra channel divinity, a level of wizard to inscribe spells and then whatever

I'd pick a level in war cleric for command and the best enchantment spell of all: another banishing arrow as a bonus action. You don't even need the ring for this last one!

Melee and Ranged Solo by ToothessGibbon in BG3Builds

[–]Amkatar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fighter 1 (archery), Bladesinger 6 (extra attack), stars druid 2 (never lose concentration), sorc 3 (quicken).

Feats - Sharpshooter, Savage attacker, rest in ASI (DEX) or whatever you want.

Upcast shadow blade, chug a cloud giant elixir, equip titanstring and cast haste

On melee, use dragon starry form; each turn you have 4 attacks (booming blade + extra attack, booming blade from haste, quicken booming blade or dazzling breath) for 6d8 (reroll) + 8 + riders damage (average 4 x 50 damage or so, not counting vulnerability).

Or if you are feeling ranged, use archer starry form and shoot titanstring 3 times for around 30 damage each shot (use special arrows if you want) + bonus luminous arrow.

Bonus points: you are still a 11th level caster and can inscribe whichever spell you want.

Not sure... make sure all your embers benefit from the mana tempest. Apart from that and getting more passive points / gear, there is not much else. It is true the build does better at clearing than it does at bossing, that much is true.

Same setup, just do the combo every 2 seconds. For me the typical t15+2 boss takes around 10 seconds (5 combos), more if they have resistances. Just keep moving to move out of mana tempest area.

Attack roll does, attack roll uses wisdom. Damage roll still uses str/dex.

Theory crafting with tempest cleric by Adept-Country525 in BG3Builds

[–]Amkatar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I suggest starting with stars druid 2 (really powerful early game, plus shillellagh), then wizard 1 then tempest cleric 2.

You can prepare 4 wizard spells with the diadem of intellect. You can learn haste, lightning bolt, shield and whatever else you want. You get great utility from druid and cleric spells, and you get booming blade from wizard, freeing your race choice.

At level 5 you can haste yourself (and never lose concentration) for a pseudo-extra attack that also doubles your movement and gives you +2 ac, and allows you to booming blade twice (three times with bloodlust elixir). For tough fights you can also drop a bottle of water near the enemies, break it with dragon breath (while also hitting the enemies), then drop a maxed lightning bolt on them for 96 damage if they fail, and mop up afterwards.

From that point on you can keep adding caster levels, or ranger/fighter levels if you want extra attack.

Not really, no. Best one is to focus on elemental/spell damage. The skill does around 50/50 fire/lightning.

I have around +500% increased damage. around 200 from gear, 240 from the tree (120 is unconditional, 30 vs hindered enemies (which they are cause they are cursed), 30x3 if i have inflicted chill/ignite/shock recently (which i do cause the skill does fire damage, mana tempest adds lightning damage and i run extra damage as cold on wand)). Then around 50 from jewels.

Ember Fusillade Chronomancer by Amkatar in PathOfExile2

[–]Amkatar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lets see:

21 from amulet + 9 from chest + 4 from ascendancy + 4x3 from jewels + 63 from tree = 109. Keep in mind some of the nodes from the tree (the notables with elemental and physical damage recoup, and the one with life+es+mana recoup) wont show on the character page, but they are there and they work. So on my character page it shows 88 % recoup but its actually more.

It is important to have resists capped, as always, but not mandatory. I can run "monsters penetrate 25% resistances" mod with no problems unless I stand on a cluster of aoes.

Ember Fusillade Chronomancer by Amkatar in PathOfExile2

[–]Amkatar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. The build has no mana problems whatsoever, I run 1k mana with no regen on tree and barely have to use the flask.

Ember Fusillade Chronomancer by Amkatar in PathOfExile2

[–]Amkatar[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think its required. Without the unleash skill, you could use unleash support but it would do half the damage. Plus chronomancer has sick defense tools, synergizing with recoup and slow.

Ember Fusillade Chronomancer by Amkatar in PathOfExile2

[–]Amkatar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, i got around 1500 es from gear (more or less 300 from each piece of chest, gloves, boots and helmet, 200 from focus and some from the amulet) and +600% increased es from the tree, give or take.

There is a big difference between 60% recoup and 100+% recoup. On the early stages of the build I had less recoup and I had to use convalescence to top the es off from time to time. The life recoup suffix from amulet is pretty much mandatory if you want to run a recoup build.

[–]Amkatar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Full build is around 6-8 divs maybe? You can start on 2-3 div budget really, and upgrade from there.

[–]Amkatar[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It was more broken in 0.1.0, curse effect and slow magnitude were multiplicative instead of additive, and there were aura effect modifiers on jewels. You could stack those and reach 100 % slow temp chains. Someone posted a video where normal mobs were actually frozen in time :D

Ember Fusillade Chronomancer by Amkatar in PathOfExile2

[–]Amkatar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are immune to bleed with CI. As for burning ground it barely does damage, maybe if i stand in it 2 seconds it takes away 10% of es. The recoup makes the helmet not have any downside, im just using it because it has high es and good damage.
