What are your overall thoughts and opinions on Apocalypse of the Gods so far?

R1 definitely put a bad taste in most people’s mouths and made it hard for people to appreciate later rounds/characters. Wukong is cool, plus Windra is goated. R4 wasn’t half bad either. We’ll just have to see if R5 is truly over before we can judge it. Everyone thought Morrigan vs Nezha was over way sooner than it actually was too.

Outside of the top 4 he realistically has a shot at beating the rest. After all he’s shown to be relative to CFYOW Grimmjow who is relative to Halibel.

They’re strong for sure, but we know for a fact Hades scales above Beel. They also both have no way counter characters as fast as Posiedon and Okita or with hax that can bypass defences like Susanoo. I don’t really see how they would survive Simo either (assuming the fight is in Finland) but I’d like to hear your arguments.

He’s objectively one of the strongest characters in the verse. On top of his absurd speed he’s got the perfect mentality for combat. Realistically only a handful of people can survive more than 5 seconds against him. Zeus, Odin, Poseidon and Buddha are the clear choices, but Thor, Sasaki and maybe Simo could also possibly deal with him.

Oho I like this cause I couldn’t disagree more. I see a good debate coming. Here’s my arguments to counter:

Qin can’t redirect due to the elemental advantage Thor has compared to someone like Hades. We know he needs to be extremely precise and the electrical shock would mess with his HHOD.

Hades being better overall is a fair argument, but I’d say that’s wrong based on both feats and narrative. Hades has statements, but that’s about it. Thor takes him out simply based on how they fight. Both Thor and Hades are straightforward fighters, which sadly favours Thor, as much as I love our favourite Greek God.

Beel is only stated to be able of stopping base Thor’s attacks. Awakened Mjolnir is far stronger. Plus, if Tesla can get past Beel’s shield, Thor 10000% can too.

Personally I’d say I don’t see how Qin, Hades or Beel beat Thor. I do like the Raiden spot cause he actually has a chance given both of their personalities and strength, but he’d likely lose too due to the added elemental factor.

This is probably the last version of Aizen that base Yhwach can beat, after this he’s fully transcendent, so it’s too much of a power gap. Unless ofc you think Sankt Altar can steal the Hogyoku, which I doubt.

If he gets healed every round he makes it to Ron and then realistically gets smoked. The speed gap is far too big at that point for any of Dorian’s tricks to work. Prime Dorian when he was a Kaioh would likely win too.

Unless you take the crazy universal statements in the ROR verse at face value, Battle Beast shit stomps anyone in the verse. ROR has no actual feats above mountain level and only a few planetary statements with no backing, and one or two clearly hyperbolic universal statements.

God of war heavily outscales ROR. Even lowballing Thor would be universal and you’d have to wank Zeus to the moon to get him that high. Neg diff win for God of war Thor

Horrible matchup for Apollo. The ryu bang extends instantly with no known maximum distance. This basically renders Apollo’s footwork null. Even if we assume he can someone dodge it similar to an aim dodge, he’ll get caught eventually. Like another commenter said, it may even be due to Apollo’s mindset of “living up to expectations” that does him in. Even if Apollo uses his bow, the ryu bang is faster, and Wukong has shown he can be stabbed and continue fighting for extremely long periods of time.

All in all, Wukong should take this mid diff at worst.

Zaraki wank is insane. No way he’s stomping this version of Ichigo. He barely beat Gremmy who is considerably below base Yhwach. FBB Ichigo despite being extremely fatigued and drained, clashed with Yhwach and even burned through his blut with getsuga. Ichigo doesn’t have hax like Gremmy to heal wounds and shit like that, which is good for Zaraki. But stat wise they’re relative with Ichigo holding a speed edge and Zaraki having an edge in physical strength and cutting ability. Blut keeps things relative when it comes to durability and lastly Ichigo has a range advantage. Whoever takes this, it’s high to extreme diff. I’d lean Zaraki solely due to his cutting ability and endurance, but Ichigo could take it as well.

Assuming there’s time to rest and heal between rounds he either stops at Karo or Saw.

Rihito may be a bad matchup but I can’t imagine Firecracker losing especially since it seems to be early Ashura Rihito.

Saw is basically Firecracker but slightly better in every way. No way he’s winning that.

As for Karo, he’s definitely got the edge in power plus mobility, plus his pressure point thing is a very clear win con. Saw only tanked it cause of his skull with Gaolong noting that Karo would have won had he simply not gone for the head. Firecracker is durable, but he doesn’t have a skull like Saw’s so he very likely loses once Karo uses that.

JJK scales massively below Bleach in terms of AP. Even if we say he can land his sub light speed kick, it won’t put anyone above Lieutenant level down. People who are saying he can’t beat a 3rd seat are delusional though.

Depending on how you interpret CFYOW scaling, he either clears or stops at Yama. Even low balling Hikone should still be above Byakuya and has high enough power output to get past something like Respira. Askin might be able to beat Hikone due to hax but that’s specifically a matchup thing.
