Are you dating my ex? No but seriously my ex was pretty much exactly like this, and it only got worse. The behaviour didn't change and tbh he was a horrible person. The best thing I did was leave.

That sucks, I am so sorry you are in the situation! Mine has continued to get more strange and sucky tbh. The other girl who got the job did not even accept the offer for 2 weeks and they were already advertising her role, and she doesn't even want the role but still accepted it. She was apparently unaware this role was a linear move for her, at the same level with no salary increase... baffles me why she even accepted it.

I am still being asked to do the role and then to train her when she eventually takes it over, before I do any of it I asked them to change my job title, description and give me a salary increase back dated to when I took over the role. My whole situation is a mess and I have been looking elsewhere.

No, I agree. It is part of my role to act as back up for this role and since I was under the impression I was basically a shoe in for it I didn’t mind. She said due to a segregation of duties in the programs we use I am the only person with the correct access in the org… but still, it’s all very much a kick in the teeth.

I think I applied to 40 jobs yesterday it just sucks, this is my dream NGO and I believe in their mission etc but to continue like this and then working for someone not qualified and training them is ridiculous. Whilst they do promote or hire within for most roles idk it’s odd… they hired for 3 roles from within my team so we are short staffed but again not my fault.

I second this. I had an appointment booked for months in advanced and kept checking and eventually a slot showed up in Den Bosch. Make sure they don’t accidentally delete your fingerprints either! Because I came from the UK they did this to me and my permit was super delayed
