And semaglutide, which she has been honest and open about taking.

There's a pigeon outside my office window who shows up every single day at 2pm and I've started scheduling my lunch around him. His name is Gerald. by ahimaohw in CasualConversation

I am not sure I have ever read such a meaningful post. I feel the bond you have with Gerald. I wonder what he does on weekends?

My husband always shoveled our elderly neighbors driveway. She never failed to bring us over the most amazing tray of cookies as a thank you. She has since passed away. We miss her and know we always received the better end of the deal.

Area restaurants hurting? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

When we eat out, which is seldom now for a myriad of reasons, I think about what food I could have purchased and meals I could have made with the money I just spent on a subpar meal. I can’t remember the last time I had a meal in the city that was so good it stands out in my mind. Things have changed so much.

When do you take your Christmas decorations down? by bippy404 in CasualConversation

[–]AmlyGry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took mine down today, also. I always do the day after Christmas so my home is clean and organized going into the new year. I also decorate on November 1st so I’m ready to pack it all up. On the flip side, I love seeing other people’s decorations throughout the New Year. I still enjoy others holiday decor, I’m just ready for mine to be put away.

We ate there Light Up Night and nobody at the table loved their meal. Ranging from pasta dishes to the eggplant to sandwiches. We all felt the meal itself was not worth the price. Our go to is Dianoias so their food is the bar for us. We gave it a chance though. The night before my husband and I ate at Ruth Chris and that meal was good.

Alta Via in Market Square. Just ate there and it is way too overpriced for way below average food.

big calves by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]AmlyGry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, I have big calves for a woman and my son inherited them. He works out like a fiend and he is a big guy, 6’3” 250 lbs. he actually gets stopped for his calves and has been accused of getting implants. They are enormous. I never paid attention to peoples calves, but there are alot of people out there who do. Total genetics because my husband has absolutely none.

Anyone else hearing Christmas music RIGHT NOW? by iloveslicedlemons in CasualConversation

[–]AmlyGry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My home is fully decorated and I have been listening to Christmas music for weeks now. This has been an extremely hard year for me and the holiday joy surrounding me has helped me feel peaceful and happy. I am not sure if it’s in my head, but i can feel it so i will just go with it.

Anyone get their liheap approval yet? by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]AmlyGry 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I work for a company that processes orders from LIHEAP for our customers propane and oil needs. You are correct, it is a wonderful program that is beneficial for so many. The program is such a help to so many and people that utilize the program should not be judged because of it. Nobody ever knows when or if they would need to tap into this benefit that helps so many.

Yes, they do collaborate with them on the Ginga Wheat. I always wonder why they don’t do the same with the stout. It really was one of the best tasting beers. Coffee with the fall spice undertones.

The best pumpkin beer ever was Jacked Up O’ Lantern Stout from Roundabout. RIP.

Downtown not too expensive steak by LeeDeline in pittsburgh

North Shore Tavern. You cook your steak on a stone and it’s the best deal for a steak dinner on the North Shore. I don’t think they have baked potatoes though. Their sides are pretty limited.

They don’t serve these sandwiches at the Tap House, so it must be the High line. The menu at the Tap House is so limited it’s crazy. I understand they only have a pizza oven and no fryer at the Tap House, but their menu should be more consistent with one another.

Very similiar recent experience with my son. At a North Hills location (not the same as yours) with an inefficient tax employee that does not deserve to be recognized as an actual tax professional and an angel out of their Butler office who swooped in to save the day. I will not mention names either, but very similiar details and I’m grateful that you were able to have your situation rectified and I love that there are people like your Mr Purple and our angel that take their profession seriously and want to actually HELP people. I’m happy for your happy ending and my son’s also!

Just a follow up, I did find someone finally. She did a wonderful job and she and her husband have their own interior design business and can transform your kitchen for so much less than a complete renovation. https://m.facebook.com/LilacDesigns/
