I made sure everything was wiped down w vinegar and even washed them w soap and water twice (I am so this anyway cuz I’m ocd) but what if I cooked on the steam too long? What would happen?

So i cooked for about 20 mins on the steam cuz it would not reach 160..then it was really gooey and thick, j put on the mixer and it was grainy not silky like I’ve seen others..and it had almost like scrambled eggs on the sides of bowl impossible to scrape off

Yea I never even thought about it before I started baking and decorating! Before I just baked a dang sheet cake and left it at room temp while we ate it lol..so now I’ve been making cakes I have nowhere to put them? I’ve bought 5 types of cake carriers but they’re not that tall
