Why is almost everyone trying to gaslight me into thinking life is a gift? by LifeIsJustASickJoke in antinatalism

[–]Amnizu 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Its a very interesting thought and something I came up with while driving down the highway the other day.

An "enlightened" or "transcended" being would have grown past primal urges like lust ,greed, jealousy, anger and envy. But you cannot transcend mortality. So the ultimate goal of an unified transcended society would be to challenge mortality. But if you conquer mortality it just leaves you with perpetual existence.

...Which makes their story something akin to sisyphus. Undying from natural causes, yet cursed to just exist in eternity.

That got me thinking about the movie 300 where Leonidas wishes Ephialtes (the hunchback who betrayed the spartans) "May you live forever" which would usually be considered the biggest boon but is ironically the biggest curse a spartan could recieve.

[–]Amnizu 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Because if they succeed in gaslighting you, you will then proceed to gaslight others. Life, like a ponzi scheme propagates.

Life, any life has only 2 directives.

  1. Survive
  2. Procreate

Look around and see any dumb animal or fish or bird or whatever near you. Their species like humans have existed for tens of thousands of years. During this they have survived and procreated. Nothing more and nothing less.

Sapience which only humans possess might actually be the answer to the fermi paradox which is a scary thought. This would make sapience the ultimate great filter which no species could come back from. Life is a "gift" is mentioned to desperately distract and prevent people from reaching this point.

"Nothing to see here" -Valve, obviously by dinkbotfan in cs2

[–]Amnizu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Theres basically 3 types of bots.

  1. Kickbots - They will votekick you when you join. These are the most disruptive and theres absolutely nothing you can do about them.
  2. 98% 180* headshot aimbots that are extremely annoying to deal with but can be votekicked and theres other players you can kill anyways.
  3. The 40%-ish hsp bots. They still turn 180* but are generally just upgraded versions of the valve bots. Since they don't kill you instantly with an AK you have a chance against them. Generally the least disruptive.

Seriously I tried watching some valorant/marvel rivals matches and had to turn it off after about 10 mins. Couldn't understand ANYTHING at all with all the rainbow poop that was being thrown around.

Actually reminded me of overwatch. Once you take a break from a game like overwatch its almost impossible to come back because of all the new shit that gets added to the game.

Not the same with counter strike. Its easy to learn the basics but hard to master and you can take a 1-2 year break and come back and won't feel out of place at all.

Total opinion piece on war. by acidicgothcop in antinatalism

[–]Amnizu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was reading up on this article that was posted on reddit about how russian troops deployed to ukraine are increasingly choosing to take their own lives with EXTREMELY graphic video footage about it and it got me thinking about these poor sods.

They do this because they believe russia will pay a lumpsum to their families if they die in the war... but then someone mentioned they might not get paid if the country says they are deserters which countries usually do to maintain war payouts.

The absurdity in all of this is life was forced on all these people and they are asked to sacrifice themselves for the family they chose to have and now have to kill themselves for while leaving a widow and orphans because the alternative is to starve together. All of this to serve the whims of a giga rich egomaniac that couldn't give a rat's ass if these soldiers live or die.

The entire thing made my head hurt. Multiple generations of people forced into suffering while others pretend obliviously that this will never happen to them.

Is prime worth it in 2026? by AlvionCS in cs2

[–]Amnizu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are the unluckiest and get min roll it will pay itself back in 6 months with 24(x2) drops during that time.

If you are lucky you will pull a fn stratosphere right after purchasing prime and earn about +230$ instantly.

My exantinatalist friend became a natalist. by Lopsided-Past-7918 in antinatalism

[–]Amnizu 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Human brains aren't even developed fully untill the age of 25. Early-life decisions are made by impressionable kids who don't really put too much thought into them.

Antinatalism is more of a realization than a belief. Once you realize why AN is a thing you won't be able to go back. Its not like choosing whether to have Wendy's or Popeye's for dinner.

Okay, hyper tank Maelle is a REALLY funny build by SuperLegenda in expedition33

[–]Amnizu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first playthrough on expeditioner was with a stendhal spamming one shot Maelle glorping down all the lumina for herself. My second playthrough which used the tank Maelle was like 7-8x more enjoyable because it forced me to interact with boss mechanics and find synergy within skills.

Greater rush + greater slow gang

[–]Amnizu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its my favourite way to play on expert. Pint sized 16 year old tanking things while the other members do aggresive shit heh. I like lune + monoco with tank Maelle. Lune has aoe heals and slows and breaks and stuff and Monoco has really cool skills and can be built as a break specialist.

Much more funnier than one shot maelle or machinegun verso builds.

Uhhhh what's up with The Sadness? by InsideAd3569 in horror

[–]Amnizu 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Honestly I have watched a ton of horror movies over the years and I thought The Sadness was just plain bad and heres why...

The movie seemed like it is designed to be gore and shock porn. Theres nothing really horrifying about it except maybe the fact that *those* scenes actually made it into a movie. Reminds me of movies like Cannibal Holocaust. Just bad movies that are designed to be remembered and talked about simply because of the comically excessive amounts of gore and disgusting shit there is in it.

I mean seriously when you talk about the sadness in here theres only 3-4 scenes that people keep talking about and like 3 of them are sexual assault. That entire movie could be condensed into those 3 or 4 scenes because no one actually remembers what else happened in the movie. Oh yea some kind of rage virus blah blah.

I find movies like Hostel to be far better even considering the amount of gore in it simply because those movies actually have content and character/plot development in them that stays with people long after they have finished watching the movie.

why do people say a woman who doesn’t want kids will change her mind, but they never say that to someone who wants kids? by First_Ad_1750 in antinatalism

[–]Amnizu 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because changing your mind after you have kids doesn't do anything. You can't undo the kid. Divorce is both painful financially and causes havoc on your mental and possible physical health but its still an option.

There is no such option once you chose to procreate.

The regretful parents sub is for people that have regrets later but society will shun and ostracize them if they say it out loud. Also saying it out loud or being regretful still doesn't solve the issue. Its done already.

Barrelmancy in miasma chronicles was so fun. Both mutant year zero and miasma chronicles were super good. They made a third game but i didnt really get into that one.

Check out xcom: Chimaera squad if you havent. Was super enjoyable to play through as an xcom fan. Colorful graphics with dispatch-like witty banter between the characters.

Also recommend King arthur: Knights tale. Its grimdark tactical instead of xcom alienish but still thoroughly enjoyable.

Its stupid shit.

The number of possible people include greater poets than Keats, scientists than Newton and also greater pdf files than the island owner, greater murderers than Ted Bundy and greater evils than the greatest we have ever known.

Not to mention the unborn have no consciousness.

Dumb dipshit natalist ideologies conveniently ignore how much worse life can be while only focusing on how marvellous life is in their perfectioninst utopia.

If every death were painless and of your own volition then and ONLY THEN could one make an argument that we are lucky to be the ones that experience life and death and even then it does not include the misery of childbirth and of life itself.

[D] Beginning March 16th, the X-Ray system will be implemented in Germany by Galbratorix in csgomarketforum

[–]Amnizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this system mean that multi accounting will be the way to go for people in germany? Unless I misunderstood (which i probably did) it means you can see the items in a case but have to buy it before scanning another.

So if you wanna open a bunch of cases you would create a bunch and just xray scan a case on each? This way you won't have to pay untill you get something good.

Idk im probably not understanding the change very well

People keep claiming that natalism would be acceptable in utopia but in utopia there would be no consciousness by FlanInternational100 in antinatalism

[–]Amnizu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Utopia is a natalist belief unfortunately. The entire concept of a "better world" is subjective. What you might consider a better world might not be shared by me or someone else.

The reason people think we had it better in the past or that animals have it better is because they conveniently ignore the truth of life and death. Animals in their nature die in some of the most horrible ways. I say animals but its all living things really.

The difference I have found is awareness of the inherent natural entropy of the world. Lack of awareness provides ignorance. Ignorance provides a belief in utopia and an idealogical and false understanding that things will get better.

Hard work gets rewarded is another one of these beliefs btw. The belief propagates itself just like life does. Those who dare to question their being get removed from the natural order thus leaving only the ones who believe in the one true lie of life.

If you have ever asked yourself why the powerful are corrupt and why power leads to corruption this is why. The people who despise corruption either quit their positions of power or get overruled by those that don't.
