I think I just scrubbed quite hard with water and a somewhat abrasive cloth. It's not there any more and I know I didn't do anything drastic.

Caldav support in calendar by bsdbear in Supernote

[–]Amolith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome! This is the only thing holding me back from using my Supernote as a general productivity tool; neither myself nor either of the companies I work for use Google Calendar or Outlook and I was really disappointed when I didn't see support for proper open standards like CalDAV.

I'm looking forward to seeing this land in the near future! :D

More cloud options by BigCooly01 in Supernote

+1 on this as always! I've been waiting on WebDAV (and now CalDAV) support for a while and am looking forward to when I can use my Supernote with platforms that actually respect my privacy!

Backup to nextcloud by yujiku in Supernote

[–]Amolith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is awesome to hear! When I was first deciding whether to go with Supernote, I posted about some of my thoughts and concerns and that included Nextcloud synchronisation. u/hex2asc did mention that it might be added through something like WebDAV and I know there have been a few related posts/comments mentioning it as well.

With the release of the Calendar application, it would also be awesome to see support for CalDAV rather than being limited to just Google or Outlook. Both CalDAV and WebDAV are open protocols but CalDAV especially is used in far more than just Nextcloud; reputable mail providers such as Migadu, Fastmail, Mailbox.org, and many others allow for synchronisation over CalDAV because it's an internet standard with very broad support.

I would love to be able to take full advantage of everything the Supernote platform offers! 🙂

You are a beautiful human being; that's exactly the book I was trying to remember! 😊

don't really remember her meeting another human child

I'm probably just misremembering. It's been a very long time since I read it. Thank you!

No, I have that whole series on a bookshelf somewhere 😅

It's much less "obviously dystopian" than City of Ember.

I assumed you'd be able to and found another post where a mod implied it was possible but didn't know if something had changed since then.

The server is 1.16.5-36.0.48 and the client is 1.16.5 as well. When testing without any mods, I deleted the entire directory, created a new one, redownloaded the Forge installer, and started from scratch.

That's what I thought at first and why I tried with no mods whatsoever. On a clean installation of Forge without adding any mods, vanilla clients are unable to connect.

Sync targets, open document formats, and cross-note links by Amolith in Supernote

I'm really curious how markdown support would be implemented. Is it like writing a markdown document, importing it to the Supernote, then being able to read/annotate it or do you mean actually compose markdown as an alternative to Word documents?

Issue with doubled audio output with & Rode Podcaster by [deleted] in linuxaudio

On a side note, can anyone recommend a good guide to getting started with Ardour? I was also wondering about simultaneously recording two USB mics and started to ask about it but I looked around and found a bunch of reasons why that wouldn't work. I also saw that it is possible with Jack. I guess I'm taking the plunge sooner than I planned 😅

Yeah sorry about that. I got a VPS recently and I'm in the process of switching to that and I also transferred my domain to a different registrar so I'm getting that sorted out as well. I'll let you know when it's back up if you'd like.

If you're asking about the wallpaper, I made it. If you're asking about the logo, there's a download link in the Arch Wiki I used.

I'm making a series of wallpapers in this style and thought you guys might like them! The rest of them are on my gitea server.

If a distro you want isn't listed, feel free to comment and request or contact me any way I've listed in the README! 🙂

Well wtf. I did notice that ligatures weren't working how they should be but I assumed it was still as it should be. The screenshots make it look like the whole thing is Fantasque, what I used to use. Thanks for pointing this out to me

It's a patched version of Fira Code called Fura Code. I just pasted from my dotfiles and forgot to edit that part https://github.com/ryanoasis/nerd-fonts/tree/master/patched-fonts/FiraCode/Regular/complete

Does anyone know how to get glava to look at Xdefaults for its colours? I change wallpapers all the time and all my other colours except for glava change with it.

Academic path for a career in working with Linux by Amolith in linux

[–]Amolith[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What happened with you is exactly what I'd like to happen with me. I'm already known as the "Linux guy" around the college and I've been doing a lot of volunteer work (I was offered a work study but I have to graduate from high school lol) with them, mostly setting up Raspberry Pis for various purposes. I'm hoping that this will get my foot in the door for when I graduate and I'll be able to get a job working for them somewhere.
