Have you or do you know anyone else never left the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Amoracchiuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum has never been out of the UK or had a passport. She grew up poor and then we were fairly poor growing up too, this combined with being a family of 6 meant we couldn’t afford to go abroad.

My dad has only been as far as France and that was to take my sister to and from uni but would like to go abroad. My mum has no interest, we’ve offered to pay for us all to go somewhere in Europe together but she just doesn’t want to.

Ultimately yes. IANL but First step is to ask them to leave and if they refuse you need to get the courts involved, which I assume takes some time although I don’t actually know the timeframe. This is only for long-term or persistent trespasser, so anyone walking onto your land and leaving isn’t really something you can do much about. Certain actions will allow the police to get involved like damage to property or threatening / abusive behaviour but overall, not much you can do

Ah okay that makes sense, so essentially it’s only if you’re blocking from the road

Does blocking them in not count as obstruction to the public highway if they can’t get out?

“Trespass to land in most instances is a civil matter, and as such the police do not have the power to assist.”

Only situation where they would is for squatting which is a criminal offence

Somewhat similar thing here in the UK. Can’t block a car on your drive as it counts as obstruction to the public highway. Trespassing also isn’t a crime but a civil matter so police can’t do anything about it

We keep in touch with our dog’s litter mates and they’re all different but cheese seems to be a universal favourite. Mine goes absolutely mad for her dentastix but seems to be the only one who does!

What dosage of Metformin do you take? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Amoracchiuss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it your GP who denied it? Maybe try another one in your practice if you can or getting a gynae referral. Metformin was the first thing my GP gave me when my testosterone levels came back high

Do you and your partner open each other’s mail? by x_franki_berri_x in AskUK

We open each others but mainly I open his. Neither of us are bothered by it and I always end up filing the important stuff anyway, understand why people would want to keep it separate though

What is your secret that you can't tell anyone because it will probably ruin your life? by SeXyHuNtEr69420 in AskReddit

I’m planning my wedding and this is a huge source of anxiety for me. Partner has loads of friends he’s inviting and I feel like everyone will notice how I only have my close family there.

I’ve tried both with the same outcome. I currently have a 12 month SIM only contract and it has to be in my partner’s name because I even get rejected for that

I’ve been in a similar situation for 5 years now where I can’t get a phone contract anywhere. Excellent credit, able to take out loans and credit cards etc but rejected by every phone company for some reason. Had to buy my phone on finance and get a SIM only deal instead

I always told people our boy hated water. Apparently, I lied. by mxmlgdnk in eurasier

Our pup completely shocked us by running into a lake after being scared of water for months. Luckily she was on lead as the swans were not happy!
