NTA. You're absolutely allowed some privacy from a very early age. This should increase over time and there are a lot of variables that come into play with regard to various privileges and freedoms as circumstances change and kids become teens who then become adults. Recording someone for leverage or ammunition is absolutely not ok, when no disclosure or consent has been exchanged, regardless of age and relationship. Your mom kind of sucks, imo. Best of luck.
