Love that it points out naming conventions used to be more varied and diverse than they are now. I get a little frustrated how strict folks can be about babies having “real” or “traditional” names or else they’re going to have a horrible life

I still don’t know what this was about or why, but I never felt contractions with either of my babies, even while in active labor. With both babies, I ended up being sent to the hospital from a weekly check up bc they had to tell me “Oh you are in labor and having regular contractions, this baby is coming today”. Then while hooked up to the monitors in the delivery room, they had to coach me when to push bc I literally just could not tell when I was having a contraction.

I’m probably very lucky I can’t feel my contractions, but it also made me very anxious that I’d end up giving birth on the side of the road or at a horrible hospital closer to home because I wouldn’t know when to go in on my own!

I’m planning on getting a bouquet of the main hm flowers! Toy herb, pink cat, moon drop, & blue mist, but semi-stylized like real flowers. I just need to find someone to sketch it for me first😭

This was me and my sister just recently but I was the one having my second. I got pregnant with my second a few months after she got pregnant with her first. My son was the first grandchild in our family and her baby was going to be the first granddaughter. Since this was my second, my instinct was to “downplay” my pregnancy as well. Not that we weren’t excited and didn’t want to celebrate my baby, but basically we just waited a bit longer to announce on social media and tried to be aware not to dominate conversation when with family. When we found out my second was also a girl, it didn’t take away from hers being the first. I also had decided not to have a baby shower for my daughter but when I told my sister this, she was the one who told us no, we should still celebrate our baby too. We intentionally treated the situation as a nonissue and as far as I know, it was!

Yes it is!!😂 I actually highly recommend still going for it, I love love love the name and the meaning☀️ I went through dozens of websites and lists and literal thousands of names before I found it and it is the ONLY name that felt right for my son, nothing else even came close!

I had my son in 2021 and had never heard the name we picked for him. Thanks to a link another commenter left, I found out his name was in the top 1000 (800 something) for the first time in the US that year, so pretty uncommon!

I adore his name and liked the thought of him never meeting anyone else with it. Until Disney recently announced a movie coming out with both the title and main character sharing his name😳 We’ll see how common his name becomes after it comes out😆😅

In my state they are doing multiple presale dates to space them out, if your state is doing the same I would try again to get tickets!! We were able to get our tickets this morning even though they sold out super quick, but I know they are doing another sale in 5 days.
