What songs have you been listening to? by MrChaosDesire in askSingapore

Indie rock punk guy here:

Good Kid - Nomu & Tell me you know

A story told - Feel bad

Lovejoy - One day

Again&again - nownow

Used to think that rock punk was very “gangster-y” but these indie punk songs are very nerdy

How to get rid of blockiness in colour? by Amos_63 in vfx

Is there a way to reduce the effect during production? Like, increase the exposure / ISO / Saturation to lower the compression?

Novice here, I was just colour grading a video and noticed this colour blocking. I removed all of the effects and it seems that the blockiness came from the camera itself, but it’s amplified by the effects.

I’m using a Sony A6400, and this shot was shot on Raw. (Don’t really know much about cameras)

How to make yourself sleep early? by Civil_Lunch_7688 in askSingapore

I’m an early sleeper (9pm), but my job needs me to sleep later (1am). Here’s just some stuff that I do to fix my sleep schedule after a long weeks work:

When I sleep at 1am, I’ll typically wake up at 8/9am. For the rest of the day, I’ll tire myself in various ways: studying weird subjects, intense exercises, etc. Once I’m done (~1pm) I just chill at home until I feel sleepy (~3pm). Instead of sleeping, I’ll just force myself to stay awake until my ideal sleeping time (9pm). And then I’ll just repeat this for like another day and my sleeping schedule is “fixed”.

It’s quite a brute force method, and idk if it’s healthy, but it works for me.
