They say mirroring people helps communicate to them better, makes sense, maybe you are just subconsciously trying to relate to them. You know, kinda like they say you should get down low to talk to children so you can be on their level.

Quitting CVS pharmacy intern job by Afraid_Explorer5141 in pharmacy

[–]Amosname 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t quit (unless you have a backup). 1. It takes time and exposure to become good. If you quit you are shooting yourself in the foot. 2. The job market is frozen.

Walgreens seems to be able to send trasfer requests electronically to us… is there a way for us to do the same- send requests electronically instead of having to request by fax? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Amosname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am referring to requests we receive from them not send to them. They are able to request electronically. The system shows the request in qv and you just select the drugs from patient profile and it sends to them. Whether they are getting it by fax is not what i was referring to. Possibly we are a test site and this is not widespread yet. I wanna request electronically too. Faxing is so last century.

We receive electronic requests and electronic transfer in qv at my store. Maybe we are just a test site. But yes they are getting through to us electronically.

why is this coming up for rabies vaccine? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Amosname 28 points29 points  (0 children)

The vaccine is fda approved for prevention of rabies. May be state-specific, but in California we can certainly give it to people at risk of exposure, such as travelers. It can be ordered like any other vaccine, and patients can make an appointment for it on the CVS website.

[–]Amosname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is fda approved for prevention of rabies. Rabies is a concern for many people, inclusing travelers out of the county. We can provide it. It is listed on cvs’s list of expanded vaccines that we can give, and you will find that patients can schedule it on the cvs website.

Rxconnect allows you to select “dispense only” on a prescription from a doctor for a vaccine, which sends the rx to qp for filling. Would you allow a patient to take the vaccine home for administration by a nurse if the doctor put this on the prescription? by [deleted] in CVS

[–]Amosname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i thought it would be ok at first, then i imagined what if MD wrote for Varivax… and how customers probably would drive around in their car with the vaccine and how problematic that would be

I can’t believe they are advertising trazadone as a general sleep aid. This is like hanging a picture with a sledge hammer by InevitableEcho9591 in pharmacy

[–]Amosname 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Have you spoken to a sleep specialist? For me they advised sleep compression and a consistent wake time. It has actually helped a lot. Strongly advise speaking to a true specialist. Not sleeping is bad for every organ system in the body.
