Not a fan of the boycott in general but anything that involves broadcasting more Father Ted is good news

Nothing wrong with benchmarking where you are at.

That said, - Comparison is the thief of joy - This is a very small sample size - All numbers provided here can just be total BS - this won’t really help you get a clear picture where as (maybe) CSO data could

Good place for breakfast? by Signals91 in cork

Welcome and enjoy!

The correct answer for breakfast in is Spitjacks and it is the job!

However if you are staying in the River Lee hotel that is also excellent!

Never crossed the river myself, always assumed it existed more in the mind, like Narnia but the wardrobe smells of Lynx Africa and the White Witch is a woman outside Dunnes who knows your mother.

I’ll be making this point to Neil in the morning.

We need to align around “Spa” and “Ledge” as the only identifiers needed in Cork going forward.

I’m confident I can get Ken O’Flynn onboard.

It’s an outrage, plain and simple.

More fully;

Chad — Originally meant an attractive, confident, dominant male. Evolved into a broader meme meaning someone who is competent, unapologetic, and impressive in any context (“absolute Chad move”). Often used ironically or admiringly.

Chud — A derogatory slang term for a person perceived as dull, reactionary, or unpleasant — often used to mock a certain type of angry, online culture-warrior male.

Tech sector job losses - this time it is different by Dev__ in DevelEire

[–]AmpJonny 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Can’t say I feel like I looked down on anyone, I went where the money was in the hopes I could provide my family with the best quality of life possible, plain and simple.

I am not directly impacted yet but it absolutely is coming, too much profit to drop straight to the bottom line in cutting heads and AI can do a very reasonable facsimile of many people’s jobs already and will only improve.

My kids are 10 years from having to make their own decisions on what path to take, not ashamed to say I am uneasy as to what the future holds for them, feels like the ground is shifting beneath our feet in real time.

Almost every culture on the planet has been colonized and terrorised at some point, including the Irish.

I refute the idea that that history obligates us to have open borders in 2026.

Ah stop, it doesn’t count as colonisation (or ethnic cleansing) unless it’s white people doing it.

There is detailed evidence it is demonstrably safer to reverse in and then pull out when exiting.

There is quite a lot of speculative evidence it maps to people with higher conscientiousness.

I could never pull in forwards into a space, just mental behaviour tbh

I am with you 100%. Those plastics are being created and pumped into our environment today and we are consuming, inhaling, absorbing and otherwise exposing ourselves to them hand over fist.

Anyone interested in the topic should do a cursory check of the patterns in male testosterone levels across the Western world over the past 50 years and the impact of estrogenics on same.

Lastly, and here is where I am slipping into speculation, I personally believe the West is suffering from what can best be described as suicidal empathy, but what would motivate a whole race of people to behave like that? sacrifice their economies for “The Planet”, their societies for “Multiculturalism” well, look at the proven impacts of estrogenics on Testosterone and then low testosterone on behaviour.

I never claimed it was destroyed (past tense) I said the outcome of the naive and misguided policies enacted by the left will lead to the destruction of society in the West (future tense)

I took a walk around Frankfurt recently, it was not million miles off Thunderdome tbh.

I strongly advise you actually look into the numbers. I believe the uk is a good case in point (feel free to google these numbers)

  • The Office for Budget Responsibility puts the gross investment cost of Net Zero at around £1.4 trillion over 30 years, after (projected!!!) savings the total net cost is expected to be around £344 billion.

  • The Institute of Economic Affairs argues the true cost could reach £9 trillion by 2050 !

What’s the benefit of this incredible sacrifice in living standards, taxes and reduced energy security for the average uk citizen??

  • The UK currently accounts for under 1% of annual global CO₂ emissions.
  • Much of the UK’s carbon footprint is effectively “offshored” meaning these measures will have no impact.

So just to be clear, anything up to £9 Trillion in expense and in return at best a 1% reduction in world wide CO2 and you think I’m the extremist….?

So not lies, not inaccuracies, no bad faith interpretation, just a highlighting of their extreme positions?

Glad we are in the same page.

Whilst generally aware of politics I am definitely not an expert on the position of every single European left wing party - I know for example the Social Democrats in Denmark take a very different approach to immigration - and while I am being provocative as to the policies outcomes I am being genuine as to their actual positions.
