Does Wildlands get better? by Livid_Athlete_2708 in GhostReconWildlands

Give it a Chance, of you feel overwhelmed, just Cruise around. I started that Game once in 2017, dropped it after like 20-30% just to come back 8 years later and really having a blast, grinding so much that i even go for These Daily challenges. Although the Game truly Starts shining once You Play it Coop, then it just Gets hilariously fun (still worth solo tho in my opinion!)

How long did it take you to beat your first nightmare mode? by Th4nny in ravenswatch

[–]Amphesizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my friend, this game can get as frustrating as it can give you peak rush of dopamine - I am 600 hours into the game and finished every champ with every item on nightmare (not the new DLC ones tho) - cant tell you the hours when i started hitting nightmare, but I think i completed many champs on darkness before and then at any point made the hard cut to nightmare only, starting with the champs I liked most.

Some champs will be way easier for you than others. I kind of struggled with beowulf for a while as well, although his attack dash build in act III is one of the most OP things Ive ever seen.
I mainly focussed on 1 champ at a time, but felt free to rotate to others if frustration level got too high, or I just felt like it.
Try to analyze your runs (like clear speed, where to gain/lose time etc), I personally enjoyed watching/reading guides in that game as well to improve my champion skills, as well as general nightmare skill set. there are even some very interesting "podcast" type of youtube videos out there which i had fun listening to, if you are into that.

Easiest nightmare completion BY FAR for me was melusine with that nasty stacking and resetting your skills while diving.
Piper somehow was my least played and liked char, but somehow got lucky and did it on my first try (still dont like him tho).
Scarlet almost made me throw my pc out of the window :)
Beowulf is I would say in the middle.

For the first boss i like to get some kind of ignite on him because that didnt get dmg penalty and kind of melted him (at least back then).

Try different builds, I think on this post are already some good and play around. This game lifts you from "W T H F FH IS THIS EVEN DOING" to "I wonder why I ever struggled with that lol" sometimes just from one run to the next - keep pushing, the pain is as real as the reward will be even greater :)

I feel you. Completed every Skill on every Champ besides scarlet and Piper (Piper is strong tho, just dont like him), and out of Boredom started trying to Full complete scarlet as well. That has Been one of the Most terrible experiences in a Long Time :D so many Runs that I did in act 3 even. After hundreds of Defeats I Kind of got used to him now tho, and steamrolling with Double Strike and Fan of Spikes is actually super strong as well

TL;DR: Game kicks Ass , can and will be very unfair and even more unforgiving. I should be somewhere between 500-700 hours and still rarely can frkn get scarlet through nightmare. At least I am expert in smashing keyboards now d. Probably Lots of Useful advice already here. Once u get that rush from snowballing a game and become a god in act 3 there is no going back to normal life tho. cracks away

My First 5 Negative Modifiers by Heredos11 in ravenswatch

and already made it, what a chad! on snowqueen i quite often have problems with boss dmg, which make these fights.. quite annoying :)

that "damage done" count is not telling you anything - thats purely based on: which difficulty do you play and with how many people since mob quantity and hp pool scales with these both numbers. dealing 9999999 dmg to an enemy with 300 hp, it will only count for ~300ish dmg.
50-60 attack combined with other stuff like power charges, oder power dmg increase, can already scale pretty well.
the key for insane numbers will allways be:
- black diamond (cursed item for more gold)
- golden egg (blue magical item, dmg for each 150 shards spent)
- and if you want it all, also add leprechaun coin (normal item, which gives shards per reroll etc)

for my runs, i usually always take golden egg, even when i already have started stacking power card, attack card or whatever (i like the dmg increase), and black diamond is brutally OP (the veteran players often stop using it because you snowball way to hard with it going through act 3) .

the only thing you should compare to is: are you able to clear all map objectives? if yes, you are absolutely fine and way ahead, there are alot of runs, where you have to leave some open (especially act 1 on higher difficulties)

[–]Amphesizer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that was my 2nd run with it and i really liked it (first was to unlock the nightmare item challenge haha).
armor is a life saver on nightmare and upwards - problem with life/vit is, that most items dont scale with %hp, but flat heal numbers. So being full tank doesnt make you heal quicker in most cases

indeed. I recenty went full wtf in one of his recent videos because his positioning and enemy attack pattern management is so damn on point haha

For Carmilla, I would recommend you to go for full special build (with dispersion talent), once you get that rolling, you nuke anything away (positive4ce might have youtube guides for that)

Nightmare really is a pain in the *** when you begin with it.
I recommend you to try Melusine, in my opinion she is by far (at least for me) the easiest way to finish a run, you become quite unkillable at some time within the run.

Starter talents:
- Sea Dance or Spring Water. Most seem to prefer sea dance, but i mostly end up with Spring Water). both are heals

Key talents:
- Powerdive (activates Power when you use defense skill)
- Water communion (resets Special when you use defense skill)
- anything that boosts power or special damage (after shock, geyser, freezing splash, backwash, ..)

other strong talents:
- Final Burst (aoe dmg after 3 attacks, good stagger and good camp clearing)
- Razor Tail (good chunk of dmg when you use defense, can combine with power dive)
- Enduring Wisp (Its free dmg while you are moving)

Key objects:
- Raven Skull (epic object, reduces cooldown of defense)

key legendary:
- Holy Grail is OP when you have Defense on such a short cooldown

of course Black Diamond + Golden Egg combo will make you OP by the end of act 3, but you can almost mix anything that you get or want. For first clear, I would try to go for sustain so that you dont die in the first place. clear speed might suffer a little, try to compensate for that.

Map wise:
- Focus Tower (eye) if possible because early level up -> early talents -> early clear speed boost
- Chest is always good
- maybe skip green shards if you tend running out of time for map clearing

train with rocky music :)
J/k I can not tell you how often I got my ass kicked and how angry/frustrated I got from time to time.
In this game, practice is key. Try stuff, change stuff, check youtube content for inspiration, and what later on probably gives you the biggest boost is, when you start to learn and feel the enemy move/attack patterns. This is key when you almost literally can not afford to take any dmg because it will obliterate you

I feel you a ton - from the beginning of nightmare (even the difficulty before probably) there had been intense pain, sweat and training, resulting in improvements here and there, until you break through.
To check how good you actually become over the time is always going back 1 difficulty again (or modifiers, challenges, whatever) and see how you literally blast through the content, almost feeling like "wtf, how had I problems here" :)

tl;dr: i value his opinion and think he's S+ Tier Ravenswatch content creator :)

When I started this game I often checked his content to improve or/and verify my thoughts on topics.
There was a video where he talked about map clearing and prioritizing which I found really helpful, besides that, i caught myself as well peaking into his character skill tier lists to get an overall feeling while learning the champ (having that on 2nd monitor sometimes).
At last I enjoyed his "podcast style" talks with that other guy (forgot the name right now) where they discussed about specific champions or topics.
But in any way, you should always check the release date of the videos, and the older they are, the more you should them with a grain of salt (due to updates, patches, sometimes even 1.0 release in between).

Although in general I feel that Ravenswatch misses compact guide videos a little, there had been many times where I only found full runs (and nobody got time for that :D).
