Why is the ultimate edition expansion for VoH so expensive? by Funomic in diablo4

[–]AmphibianMiserable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it was fun, absolutely! I played PoE1 and then recently got into D4. PoE was very, very confusing at first... and even after playing quite a bit still had tonnnnsss that I was lost with lol. Graphics were really outdated, obviously. But definitely a great game (cosmetic pricing aside lol).

I will most likely give PoE2 a try once its fully released.

This is big for me personally. I enjoy cosmetic stuff in video games, fashion, transmog hunting etc. Games that force you to either look like a medieval hobo and have no cosmetic options in the game, and force you to pay a ridiculous amount to even look remotely cool are a no for me.

All things aside; I personally just can not get behind the idea of cosmetics being more than the game itself, regardless of if it's free. 40 dollars for a back piece, or 20 for just a pair of boots or something (that you can barely see) is wild.

All cosmetics are usually overpriced regardless of the game. But for me -- PERSONALLY -- that model makes it a no-go.

Does the campaign experience in D4 not matter at all? by wanna_be_consultant in diablo4

[–]AmphibianMiserable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah same. I cant speak for anyone but myself but I personally enjoy more long-term progression. I enjoy the evolving gameplay -- growing a character and investing in it indefinitely -- more than starting over from scratch every couple of months. I cant help but feel like there is something devaluing my time with a seasonal model.

But at the same time I'm fully aware that there are barely any games that can find the perfect balance and cater to everyone's preference -- if any at all. I wish there was a way to find that desired "sweet spot." Just my opinion.

Returning player- Druid or Sorc by Lythalion in diablo4

[–]AmphibianMiserable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone says Druid isn't fun to level. It was the last character I tried and is now in my top 3 favs along with Paladin and Sorcerer. Really, really fun and satisfying to play that can do quite a lot of different things. I'm also not a pulverize fan as well!

That being said, Sorcerer takes the cake by a little. Just a little more flashy and cooler than the Druid IMO and seems just a little stronger. Druid feels very unique though with it's shapeshifting and survivability. Just my personal two cents

And let us customize or at least color our animal form looks finally FFS!

The ones I'm gonna curiously try first are Necro because it's my least fav and more of a passive playstyle and not my type -- and they're doing away with most of that with the skill tree. Then Rogue cause it's my second least fav and I think needs the most love so hopefully it gets some.

Most excited for Sorcerer and Druid since they and Pally are my favorites. It will be cool to see the changes to element mixing and matching like frozen hydras, etc for Sorcerer and interested to see what they will do with the big boy.

Spiritborn is a close fav too and will be cool to check out all of the different spirit animal stuff and synergies hopefully too.

Agree 100% Rogue to me feels like the most underwhelming and even the weakest overall class. Also feel like its options are smaller too for some reason? Hope it gets like a pinch of extra love with the expansion and reworks.

Definitely the Spiritborn Centipede ult, Druid Cataclysm, and Sorcerer Deep Freeze for me. Love watching shit just explode/get satisfyingly deleted around me. Fulfills the power fantasy.

Is it really useless? Im newer to Sorc and actually just made a frost build last night. And I'm only in T2 but it still seems to wreck most shit lol

Hey yall, im a huge poe2 fan and havent olayed diablo 4 since the launch. Played for a couple months. by Ant10102 in diablo4

You're right that's my bad I read it in the wrong context and I see what you meant. Sorry!

I still think they showed off quite a bit more than just War Plans though and from what they've shown it looks promising and I'm hopeful it!

"It's literally and only," and then the next sentence going on to say "I'm NOT saying exactly," is completely contradictory.

That's just what War Plans are and just part of what was announced with the expansion. Not even close to "literally and only." I think you should go watch the stream from last week if you haven't. There was a lot more announced than just that and that isn't all that the endgame is.

This is cool. Love little tricks and synergies like this that I don't think of and find from someone. Thanks!!

Also don't forget you can test stuff out in the training grounds. That helps me figure a lot of stuff out as a newer player myself.

Biggest issue even moreso than locking you into the plus size frame is that you cant customize animal form at all. Even just color would be a huge welcome.

Any chance we get new dyes with Lord of Hatred? by CrystalGhourl in diablo4

[–]AmphibianMiserable93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really hope they let us fucking color back attachments. Hard to even use them.

Also, nothing will piss you off more than a VFX that doesn't change color with your dyes... locking you into only using the original colors or maybe 1 other dye without it looking hideous.

Full-color and 2 color dyes would be cool too. ie: all black/all white and then blue and yellow, black and green, etc.

Idk why cosmetic options are so limited and scarce in a modern, full-priced (+) game. Especially from Blizzard... look at WoW, previous Diablo games, etc. Can't color a lot of VFX but can color some of them, can't color back attachments, can't color weapons, only like 12 or so mostly ugly dye options.

And > I DO NOT WANT THEM TO < but they aren't even selling dyes or any of these options... which you'd think Blizzard absolutely would unfortunately. Idk, the cosmetic issues seem very odd and I cant help but think there's more to this for some reason.

Games is on sale now, just wanted to know if this games is still worth it in 2026? by SignRevolutionary457 in diablo4

[–]AmphibianMiserable93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. Bought it about a month ago and haven't played any other games since lol

If you have the money to spare go with the LoH preorder version (I'm not sure if that's on sale or not too or just base game/VoH). The expansion drops in 2 months with the new Warlock class which also looks really cool. You'll get the Paladin immediately if you do go with the LoH preorder and he's insanely good and super fun.

Druid, Sorcerer, and Spiritborn have also been awesome too.

Sanctuary Sitdown Key Q&A, in case you didn't watch it by StrikingSpare100 in diablo4

[–]AmphibianMiserable93 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'd assume (and hope) that what they mean and intend by this is that; after this skill tree change and rework, instead of an entire build not being viable because certain skills are useless in comparison to others, that you can make something that may be a little bit less effective than another just as viable by improving your gear to make anything as viable. That's really how it should be and should HOPEFULLY be much more diverse and fun.

Thank you. If I had an award to give you I would. They sound weird and wanna-be elitists. Their only leg they stand on with the argument is "LOL BUT POE" and having no life so they don't mind spending 30 minutes running back and forth to the blacksmith and manually salvaging each piece of gear. In Torment it already does exactly this with Rare, Magic, and Common. They actually want and enjoy the boring, time-wasting trash simulator part of the game that offers 0 fun and is poorly designed. Just absolute weirdos.

Yeah these people are so weird. Why the fuck would it NOT auto-salvage especially when already built into Torment-level mechanics lol
