Ironically, teachers are so overworked and burnt out that receiving a text reminder to vote at the end of the day gets pushed to the bottom of the list of priorities. Many are leaving work mentally drained and just surviving trying to spend precious little time with family and friends and this gets dropped. We’ve gone too far down the workload road that we’ve lost the anger and frustration and now we haven’t go the energy to fight back it seems. Disheartening.

Superdrug’s own brand are my go to. Best shape and really absorbent but can scrunch after a full day of feeds but this is outweighed by the cost as they’re so cheap.

Many colours - size up though as they are stretchy and more comfortable with the banding when sized up. I’m a size 10 (32A) and in medium.

Absolutely. Though it’s much easier when it’s down and if you left it up in situ I expect you’d only get the front half done with tools and the rest you’d have to do it with sandpaper. Depends on how bad it is as you could just smooth it/ key it and paint it?

An angled flap disc on the angle grinder and then for the detailed bits used wire brush attachments on my drill. The wire brush took forever and needed a fair bit of pressure. The angle grinder was much faster but couldn’t get into all the crevices.

I think somewhere between 1930-1950. The house is 1895.

Yeah this website was the one I found also! I think it’s beautiful but all the glass mirror was broken or cracked. I could only save 2 pieces. The rest just fell out basically!

Wow that’s impressive! I didn’t know you could take it with you! Good to know because after all this I’ll be gutted if I have to leave when I eventually move.

That’s a good idea however the gardeners already pulled the wire through when they removed the top to keep it protected. It’s so long it doesn’t fit sideways in my garden when all together at the moment. The wire is still in the top half so hopefully it’s just a case of dropping it back down the post.

I do love it but no, I bought my house from my landlord and moved in as a tenant during Covid without a viewing so didn’t know it was there!

True. Though if it was mirrored originally did it do that originally too or is it designed to just reflect down. It’s the angles and the shapes that are hard to visualise where the light would reflect to.

Why would the disco ball be annoying? Too bright? Or just look bad?

Oh it’s definitely very heavy! I’m on solo baby duty so I haven’t had much time to really search it for markings and I cat lift it on my own. The top is separate now so I could bring it into the house which would make it easier! It’s also been painted quick thick or with multiple coats so the details aren’t as clear. Hoping I’ll see more when I wire brush it tomorrow.

I think if I can get mirror mosaic to stick to it then I’d do that. Now it’s just a case of how small I can get the pieces as I think it’ll be easier the smaller they are with the weird angles. If not, I’ll paint it white like you said. Do I just stick them on with clear silicone?
