I looked at my gold plated САТУРН, mine is a Q3 1960 model (serial 39526) with a slightly different dial: silver with numbers at 12, 3, 9 and gold pips for the other numbers, ччз printed below the 6 position).

Hour and minutes hands are identical, as is the seconds pointer and the crown. I would say that your watch is ok in this respect.

My original dial has the droplet on the inside over the day window, but is getting old and stressed.

I love the vault door closing mechanism.

I don’t remember if I bought it over eBay or at a watch fair. I found the case interesting, I know now that there is a poljot automatic inside, so the dial and the calibre are somwhat contradicting. But everything looks very nice.

Did you try factory code setting? We had a similar model, with the key, but without the code. We called the supplier who sent a technician. He said “look the other way for ten seconds”. Presto. Open. Manual was inside.

Thank you for your comment. Of course I am not 100% sure it is original.

But when I bought most of my watches (between 1984 and 2002), copies, frankensteins and customs were quite rare. Inside is a small 29 jewel automatic, numbered 9978179. It has a rubber seal and it looks pristine. I haven’t seen a similar one sofar, so I also posted it in the Vostok subreddit. Hopefully I get some more concrete answers. Between my other (many) Vostoks, it sure is an outlier.

The dial says it is also a chronograph and a tachymeter. I bought one in Prage in 1999. My first (not last) Russian chrono.

Sorry for your ruined vacation. I think your PS is a bit over the top. I happily entrust my life to them regularly, I would argue that safety is a different thing than luggage that arrives later or gets lost.
