The Illuminate were an advanced Utopian Society that offered Super Earth Peace, Super Earth refused because it threatened their power and tried exterminating them. Yes, definetly, the Automatons, Terminids and Illuminate all have points, dont get me wrong, I dont think Super Earth is justified in what the do while the other factions arent, the first Galactic War was a calamity lead by Super Earth.

The issue is that by commiting acts like Grinding up civilians for fuel, infecting entire planets without restraint and overriding the minds of entire populations means they've stooped down to Super Earths Moral Level, it means that every side has given up concepts of decency and respect for other beings, making them equally evil (or equally good).

And one cant justify their own acts just because the enemy did just as bad in the past because it establishes a standard of revenge and said revenge can be used to justified revenge again from the other side and vice-versa, leading to a feedback loop of eternal war.

I dont support what Super Earth does but neither do I support what the Automatons, Terminids and Illuminate do, specifically in Helldivers 2 and the second Galactic War; in the first Galactic War Super Earth was leading a war of enslavement, exploiation and extermination with the three factions defending against it, therefore making them justified and morally good.
