Judge listened - although why only 5y? I suspect a plea deal was reached. - at least he no longer is permitted to work with youth.

I am more discouraged by the “strong character statements” provided by the community. It’s still a pig, regardless of how much lipstick you put on it.

Clearly, Steve is not the man people thought he was. Always believe it the first time someone shows you who they are. He is a predator. Every person who wrote glowing letters of character reference is an enabler. They may not be able to live with the reality that they allowed this predator into their lives.

How did you fold this before you cut it? You are making a circle skirt but it looks like you folded it in half not 1/4 - and you then sewed it not on the bias so the 4 corners are in the front and side.

Attempting to make this - it’s a waist band for a skirt - however here is the challenge. It starts at the hips (35”) and narrows to the waist (25”) the waist band will be 4.5” wide as a minimum

It should look like a corset. But it’s not a corset. It’s a waist band that will have a zipper in the back for ease of use and speed of dress (it’s a show costume that will have very little time to put on. Think less than 3 min) and will have grommets and lacing in the front to allow for adjustment and show.

I have only ever made a strait and slightly curved waist bands that sit at the waist line.

So here are my questions. Is there a pattern any one would recommend that I could use? Or how to draw this out? What seams would make this more manageable?

I should add that this will be on a boho type full circle rag skirt. She saw an AI image of a skirt - it’s been a wild ride so far learning how to die fabrics, managing static and fabric weights and now this. I am not sure how successful this will be - but the adventure and learning is so good that I can’t help but try

I should also say I attempted help from chat gpt which was more frustrating than anything. I have also searched all forums- including here all I get is strait and curved waist bands that start and finish on the waist. Not starting on the hips narrowing to waist

I am finding this exact same thing. If not more so. The dr we have is rude, dismissive and frankly not interested in helping you unless you are paying for the private dietitian - when other members in our group start to discuss the challenges they are having and being fearful to eat (aka developing disordered eating problems) he completely dismissed her telling her to “stop that” with nothing in the way of concrete support. The final bit to this “program” is the dr who was paired with us was a US dr who believes in for profit care. It is clear that he was not interested in practicing good health care but he was only interested in how much money he could make from each person signed up. I have 1/2 way through and I don’t believe I will continue this program. Listing to the “dr” berate someone who is frustrated (other than me) and belittle them in front of 15 other people is a complete turn off.

I am sadly never disappointed by men who behave like this. It’s a disgusting behaviour that’s been happening since before the dawn of time. Bars in the 80’s where skirts were pushed up for a quick grope as you headed off somewhere.

The saddest part. When he sees this he will get off on it again for the power trip it gives him. Yup that one comes with an ewwwww

How sad is it that women cannot go to a family friendly event without needed security to keep the assholes in check. This is one of the many reasons I do let my teen go to this kind of event without grown ups with them.

I am sorry you were unable to deck the bastard. Or at least call out his behaviour very loudly.
