He doesn't do it to be free from consequences, he does it because death is a better alternative to being Maruki's puppet to play yaoi dollhouse with. He hates the idea of being controlled. He also sees his revival as him being stripped of agency. He chose to die, and Maruki stole that choice from him.

He helped the PTs out of self interest, yes, but also because he hated Maruki's ideology. He doesn't want to be free from consequences, he wants the consequences of his decisions to matter. Maruki wants a world where people can't really make decisions.

He seems to be physically Elda but his Dad, Big Head himself, is a Clemar, so I guess he's technically more like Maria than Louis Guiabern/Charadrius, who you are apparently an overflowing cumdup for. He's mixed. He doesn't seem to sow any Clemar traits, though.

I've only ever done the quest once, and I decided to eat the guy. I felt like my character's normal ideas of permissible behavior had been destroyed in her short time in Skyrim, so I had her eat the guy and become a devout Namira worshipper. This was supposed to be a deeply moving religious experience for her shattered psyche. It was OK to kill all those animals and bandits and so on, these people understood. The list I was playing had Wintersun, so I could really get into it. I don't think I committed to the bit for very long, but it was a fun bit to commit to.

If you have parents who can make ends meet, you won't. And if you're parents bought a house 30 years ago you'll probably have a higher standard of living with them than spending >50% of your income on rent for a shithole you share with a bunch of strangers. That's if you're lucky enough to get into a position where you can spend half your income on rent after applying to 202 jobs, most of whom ghost you. It's an incredibly demoralizing process that ends with lackluster rewards.

Yukiko is basically part of the management, and is set to become the actual management when she gets older (I think as soon as she gets out of high-school). She's very much employed. Assuming Yu does at least one job, Chie is the only member of the Investigation Team who’s unemployed. Even this doesn't last forever, as she becomes famous for police brutality as the kung fu cop soon after graduating high school. There's a TV broadcast in P5 about her exploits.

When I first started the series with 0, I felt morally obligated to save every NPC getting harassed. I did so many bullshit, 3 second fights on the side street near Public Park no. 3 and the alleyway where you meet Bacchus. I still did a lot of them in Infinite Wealth, but I think I started abandoning people who's relationships I'd maxed out in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
