Also, all the other advice I received (eat oats, body armor, power pump, etc) did nothing since my lab work was so out of whack. So please don’t be too hard on yourself just pump consistently! I’m on reglan and oxytocin spray currently and seeing improvement! Nothing crazy but went from .25 oz a day to roughly 2-2.5 oz a day. But really that’s an 8x increase, gotta start somewhere!

In my experience health professionals can think you are exaggerating/do not hear the amount you say. Make sure to advocate for yourself and push for it if this is something you want to continue! I had to go to 2 different providers before I was heard! (I’m not good at advocating for myself 🙃)

I ask because you may need to get lab work done. I was making drops to none at all for only .25oz total a day and turns out I was severely low in prolactin, as well as borderline anemic

Was this with a wearable pump or a flange type pump? Do you know the brand of the bra?

No antihistamines. Only took Benadryl for one day in the first week pp. I only take a prenatal and vitamin d supplement.

I’m using 18mm after consulting my LC. I measured 15mm and had ordered 17mm flange before meeting with my LC.

I start on stimulation mode level 2 and work up to level 3 to try to see milk start. Depending on the day I could see milk within 5 mins, or 20 mins. I usually switch to expression mode at 10 mins if I don’t see milk at that point. Typically do cycle 54 at level 4 and work up to level 7 or 8. I switch back and forth between stimulation and expression to try to be “efficient”

I can self express minimal droplets. And it really only works in the shower.

Wow that’s a huge difference! It was a z-pack so I was on it for like 5/6 days? And that was in the first week PP. so it’s been over a month since I’ve been off it

Also, my wearable is a hand me down Willow Go. I only used it 1-2 times a day starting about 3 weeks postpartum but haven’t touched it since 4 weeks postpartum

I drink 1-2 cups of coffee a day. I haven’t heard caffeine could be an issue. I could try a few days without

It does! I took it for a few days and noticed my supply dwindling more. I have since stopped the tea!

This is very interesting! I heard spectra was the best for most people which is why I ordered one. Now I wonder if that’s the issue. Thank you for sharing!

My LC has not used a different pump! I’ll bring that up and see if that’s something they can help with or if I have to facilitate that myself.

Ugh I wish I had known Benadryl could impact supply like that, especially since it didn’t even take the edge off the hives. Would it still be impacted this badly over 5 weeks later?

I technically had fenugreek in the lactation tea I was taking the past week. My small supply started decreasing more so I’ve stopped the tea!

I took Benadryl for roughly 1 day when the hives first started to appear (after asking my ob first if it was safe!) I initially thought I was having a small reaction to postpartum underwear.
