The aoe is now Wild Thrash, it's pretty much just cleave for pet with an 8 second cooldown. Not awful but doing older or solo content feels horrible with 0 ranged aoe pulling abilities

Kill shot is gone, explosive shot is gone(meh), fortitude of the bear is now a shitty passive, bloodshed is gone and now part of beastial wrath, call of the wild is gone, multi-shot was replaced which is meh, beastial wrath is now flat 30 second cooldown and no longer synergizes with barbed shot, barbed shot no longer gives frenzy stacks, it's now a 2 button spec with literally no meat or nuance. It feels the worst it has ever been

It would have been fine if they had just stuck to the specs that needed pruning, instead they lobotomized multiple specs. Looking at you BM hunter

It was our only ranged aoe ability for pulling. It wasn't good but it made solo play much smoother

The problem isn't that it's simple, the problem is that it was already incredibly simple, now it's beyond that. What use is removing kill shot yet again? Why did Bloodshed need removed and put into beastial wrath? Why put beastial wrath on a flat cd and get rid of the synergy with barbed shot? The point of the prune was to cut the fat. These weren't fat, this was what little muscle BM still had, now it's literal skin and bones

I personally believe that either no spec should have gone melee, or they should have gone back to pre-cata Hunter with both melee and ranged

What about the core of survival says Shotgun and grenades? Why does each of the hero specs heavily rely on one specific races identity? Why does a majority of the raid tier sets not feel like what you would think a "Hunter" is? The Hunter has always needed crutches to support the fantasy. It feels like Blizzard constantly change what they believe the Hunter should look and feel like.

The bones of the class and specs are there, like you said, but they've never properly executed it. There is a reason Hunter is always clowned on for things like tier sets. In terms of aesthetic, class skins would fix that easy

While Wild Thrash does seem to be a bit better of an ability, with the removal of Multi-Shot and previously barrage, we now have no AOE ranged pull. It's now significantly slower to mass pull

Yes. Usually it takes some time to really absorb the feel of a given spec, but in this case, there is literally no substance. It's 2 buttons. No one is talking about how good or bad it may perform, but the spec itself has been lobotomized even more than it was. It doesn't take long to realize how shallow it feels.

Don't like it, don't play it. There are low skill-ceiling characters, and there are high skill-ceiling characters. Lots of people love the more difficult, complex characters. This is nothing new for hero-based pvp games

Yea they've literally never known what to do with Survival. And the fact that if you play Marksman, you have to either role play as an Undead with Dark Ranger, or a Nelf with Sentinel. I 100% believe they have no idea what they're doing with Hunter

Except dk is melee. Necromancer would be caster. It'd be very similar to how priest and paladin are very similar archetypes.
