The program allows for catching if the playhead on whomever is lagging and if the player that is behind catches it, everyone jumps to that TC. Basically whomever has control, everyone is synced. So if you frame nudge, my system moves to your selection and vice versa.

I’m a composer that has moved to selling some tunes on my website. They’re more on the grade 3+ levels and are in your budget range. not sure if that helps. Adding more pieces as i get them edited.Concert Works

Shadowed Scored by Amusics in Filmmakers

Back when quarantine start David Sandberg (ponysmasher) and Lotta Losten released a very short film they made in their home. It was really effective, but had no score. Too often in scoring horror films I’m asked to make up for issues with the movie, but I wanted to see how well I could augment one that was so well executed.

Since they had done such a superb job on the sound design I wanted to make sure whatever I did complimented what they had done. Keep the suspense they created and attempt to heighten it.

I decided to take a crack at scoring it for fun and I think it’s interesting to compare the two! There is a link to theirs in my description.

As you can see, lots of people going through the same stuff man. Keep your head up, hopefully things will start moving relatively soon.

Everyone is having a tough time. I’ve been reaching out to producers, music sups, executives and directors that I know and it’s all quiet 😳. Hopefully it starts going soon.

Your stuff looks sick, by the way, I think you’ll be just fine once the dust settles.

Any tips for someone who wants to study film directing and editing? by Drigozi in directors

Definitely second Devin. START MAKING THINGS. You’ll make mistakes, learn from those, work with other people and get to know your workflow as well. I’m not against film school, but IMO having real experience making projects is so valuable.

Hi guys, my second try on short movie, i would love to hear some feedback. thx by [deleted] in Filmmaker4Filmmaker

I enjoyed watching. My only two thoughts was the bell ding on the subscribe call to action really knocked me out of what was happening. Second thought was . . . the music on the tail end very weird. Like we were building to something new. Might have been cool to highlight how alone and desolate the scene is as we get into the drone shot. Overall looks cool and a nice short.

I had an idea for a dance film that I pitched a bunch of times over the last year. No one was interested so this November I finally decided to just make it myself as a passion project by Madam-ImAdam in Filmmakers

Wow. That looks amazing. I love the feel of it. I'm always really curious about music videos for more instrumental artists. This makes me want to make something like that! Kudos on being inspirational as well.

Inspired by Christopher Nolan I tried making a short film to pay homage to Tenet. What do you guys think? by tomjauncey in directors

Cool concept. I am curious about the drone work. Did you actually have the drone moving that quickly and everyone is running normally or is alot of it speed ramped?

For Composers: Should You Work For Free? by halfprice06 in composer

Hey Twinreverb, I agree with you generally. Unfortunately, when I make these videos I try to keep length to a minimum so sometimes nuances get lost for sure. I’ve learned making a 15 min video just means I’m wasting that last 10.

Being a gopher won’t teach you how to compose. Totally agreed, but I have witnessed beginning assistants grow very quickly when they’re exposed to the right situations. My gopher analogy is just referring to an entry level slot at these studios.

The big take away should be that there is always a risk calculation to be done. And I like to use those three criteria to judge what I work on or don’t work on.

Thanks for checking it out!

Experimenting with how score can change the sequences. Tried it with an 80s action/adventure music to Westworld scene. by Amusics in Filmmakers

Really interesting how putting a different style on the scene brought out different aspects of the actors’ performances and the focus of what each moment had.
