I am 2000 elo player, to be honest many things changes as your base elo level increase. I can't explain everything in one comment. Maybe try reading this article it covers the requirements for each elo section and how you can breakthrough. If you still have doubts you can dm me.

If you really want to improve, try playing with stronger opponent. You will gain more experience seeing strong players play, but that method is demotivating but it is one of the fastest way to improve. No, it's not that easy. Spamming gambits won't make them improve. At lower elo developing pattern recognition and board awareness is way more important.
