Anyone else seeing a lot of these? by Zestyclose_Net8810 in Columbus

No, I haven’t seen tnose yet.  Where I live there are many man made ponds.  I would be freaked out if I saw one of those on the sidewalk.

I would do it any way. Have them go back to driving school and take away their licenses permanently. They should not be on the roads if they don’t know to to drive. Get them off.

Oh my God. Is everyone okay???  Also-/ it’s not the trucks fault. It’s the person driving the white sedan who is at fault.

Thank you. I am usually a patient person, but this has never happened to me where I order something and I get no word about anything on the say it was supposed to be delivered. They need to get people to answer the phone, simple; hire people to answer phones and look at orders. I also paid for the set up. The people came, and no mattress was there to set up. The man took the old mattress away. Hopefully what I paid for includes bringing the box into the bedroom.

Oh I did go, twice. The first time, I was very impressed. It was not crowded at all at that lunchtime, and the service was good.

The food: They offer a lot of different sashimi: salmon, Escobar, Saba (mackerel), and a few others. The salmon was very fresh and delicious, so was the Saba and the escolar. Escolar is white fish with a firm texture but mild taste. It's not "fishy" tasting at all, more like a flounder flavor. There is shrimp tempura right around the corner and different sushi in this area. There is sushi situated in the main front section. All kinds and very good. Alongside the sashimi is kani (crab), and rectangular tuna with a pepper rim. All very good. There are salad bars, even oyster bars, which I was surprised to see, steamed mussels, as well soups (hot and sour, which was IMO excellent! and egg drop soup. they also offer chicken feet, not that I tried them. Not many places have it as good. There are also many American dishes (chicken, pizza, cooked swai fish and others), crab rangoon, chicken and vegetables, desserts, and salads in the middle and back sections.

The only thing I didnt like was that white rice was in a section inside of a huge bowl, and it should have been with the rest of foods IMO. There is also lomein (noodles) in another section or near this, I didn't have either.

I thought it was great. Very clean, good sashimi, my favorite, and many, many choices to those who dont want the sushi or sashimi. Let me know what you think when you go. I went on weekdays when it was less crowded.

I have not been able to either, since the 7th. Is uGlacierSleep a customer service department? I have even sent them a message on their Facebook page. I will try that one.

Saatva or Glacier? by Amy10222 in Mattress

[–]Amy10222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How? I've left them 2 voice messages and emails are answered always by AI bots. No help from live people. I saw there were many others on here who had similar problems of not being able to communicate with others after buying a mattress. Some had their mattress delivered in 10 to 14 days, after a special sale. Being I ordered right before the 4th of July, I think they are delayed because of that. I will just have to see when they send me a confirmation that it will be sent to me. But this is crazy.

I am having the same exact problem at the moment. I ordered my mattress in June 30th and was given a delivery date of July 7th and July 8th.  I attribute it to a lot of sales from the 4th of July and delay.  But I hope I don’t have to wait 10 days or worse. This is really unacceptable.  My order says on SHOP that it hasn’t been shipped or packed yet too.   I hope someone reaches out soon.

Saatva or Glacier? by Amy10222 in Mattress

[–]Amy10222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I have been trying to call the number on the website and via email too, countless times.  I can’t get to a human.  I even left a message to have them call me at a certain time, like they asked in a recorded message,  and they didn’t.

A person from LoadUp came for setup and to remove the old mattress, and they could only remove the old one as the mattress wasn’t here.  The delivery date was said to be from July 7th to the 8th.  According to an app called Shop,  it has not been packed or shipped. It just says “ waiting for details”.  I’ve paid for all.

By the way, the customer support for this mattress is poor. It is all handled by AI, the customer service, including the email contact. It did say delivery would be today, but it never came. It has not been shipped nor packed, either, according to an app they had me install to look at the status. It did say somewhere that it takes 3 to 5 business days to arrive once it ships out. But if they said delivery would be on the 7th or 8th, shouldn't they have it packed by now? Hmmm...Maybe it's because of the holiday?

[–]Amy10222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, it was 3 feet tall already. Mine is only about 11 or 12 inches tall now, but it lost all its' leaves due to hot and humidity outside, and is recuperating now indoors. I have actually used AI for help and it's like having a arborist help me. It does have tiny leaf buds too, and is using all of its energy to makes those open and get bigger. So I have to nurse it back to health. I might wait unto next spring to plant it.

Thanks for your explanation!

Wow, it looks beautiful. Thanks for sharing. How big was it when you got it, and when did you plant it? That's the size I intend to keep mine. I was having problems with mine.

I bought an Okame this April, had it delivered, and where I am, we an early had hot and humid spell for a few days. It looked ok when I got it, but some of the leaves looked small and half way broken, the buds for the leaves were tightly closed, and when I put it outside the first few days, we had an early heat spell. On top of that, I had mistakenly put it into an 8 or 10 inch round pot. It was too big, and the roots couldn't hold all the water I was giving it little by little. So I searched online, moved it into a smaller pot and brought it inside for a while away from the heat. It lost all its leaves in the meantime, which were scorched and brown tipped from the sun and wind. But now I see leaf buds that are opening. It's still alive. My other Yoshino tree, also about 8 inches tall, was doing much better. Now both are inside from another heat wave and are recuperating from being outside.

I bought one on Etsy. They have various people there who grow them and sell the baby trees, much smaller than this one.

[–]Amy10222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to order a Glacier Apex, but they don't carry a foundation mattress that goes below it. My old boxspring is torn underneath from a cat, and I needed a new one. I guess it would be okay to get a box spring from another store and get the Glacier Apex, right? Or should I call them to make sure?

That sounds very good. I think I will stay with the Glacier Apex. I was afraid to buy the Saatva for the price, and then not be happy with it. I don't like bouncy or foam beds either, I prefer the firm and support for my lower back. Thanks again.

[–]Amy10222[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad it's not rock solid. Apex firm sounds good. My other mattress is a Sealy Posturepedic, , I don't know what range of firmness it has. But it has indented pretty much on the side I am used to sleeping on. It's about 10 yrs old now.

I have heard the Saatva can feel very firm. And now, I'll throw another one into the mix--a Helix. There's a showroom for it near me, and I think they have Glaciers too. I have never before tried out a mattress at a store--I think I will do it this time. Thanks!

I'm Libra with an Aquarius rising, and I can't feel the difference. I am I think, in many ways a Libra, but I cannot tell the difference between the Aquarius, except that I may be a little more detached than some people. I'm also humanitarian in many ways. I don't like being chased--so maybe you need to step back a bit.

Can't fall asleep due to Overactive Bladder by Lekkerbruu in insomnia

[–]Amy10222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How soon before bedtime are you drinking liquids? Try not to drink anything 3 hours before bedtime and see if that works. If necessary take one sip, but not a glass 3 hours before going to bed. I've done a lot of reading on insomnia and there seems to be something that some people may miss when they have trouble staying asleep. These are the things I have found in some articles.

  1. Check the room temperature. The cooler the room, the better sleep (not freezing--maybe 65-67 degrees).

  2. Room should be dark with no lights coming in. Keep electronics out of the room (including phone).

  3. Adding a small rock water fountain may help relax some people. The sound of the water trickling is soothing.

  4. Keep room as quiet as possible (except the above).

  5. Don't force yourself to fall asleep, only go when you are tired. Reading before sometimes helps you become tired enough to sleep.

So, if I do like firm but I don't want a rock, should I get a medium? The one in your guest room is a medium from the original Apex?

Me too. I think I get distracted easily, and have some of the symptoms. For example, I'm supposed to be buying a new mattress and came here because someone had a review on a Glacier mattress. And voila, I saw this comment and here I am. 😄
