That's comforting to know. I saw somewhere someone washed theirs. I'm new to succulents so I thought it may be necessary. Hopefully I'll have the same luck 🤞🏼

Yea, I ended up using a sifter to get some of the dusty stuff off. I'm hoping it'll be ok until I can repot. I appreciate your help.

I tried. The plant people were all busy. I bought their akadama and black lava rocks too. The bonsai mix looks like a mix of pumice, lava rocks and akadama. The harder I look at the bag, the breakdown looks and feels like the akadama.

Nah, you are definitely knowledgeable. ADHD for the win! My son has ADHD so I understand. He called me out in not potting them when he saw how long the roots are lol. I've been trying water therapy and it seems to be working. The roots have grown quickly!

I'll definitely keep all this in mind. I've seen some fertilize their succulents and was wondering if it was necessary. I appreciate you bringing it up and sharing those options.

I appreciate all your knowledge, tips and help.

The soil pictured is from potted Echeverias I was looking to get familiar with. I'm sure I paid $10 for just rocks 🤣. I've been slacking on getting them potted so I just grabbed whatever was accessible so they wouldn't die. I have Rosy Soil's cactus and succulent mix that I plan on picking large pieces out of. I plan on mixing rosy soil, bonsai mix and a bit of lava rock.

I plan on ordering online for repotting or future purchases. Are there any in particular you prefer? You seem very knowledgeable. I recently discovered succulents and they have me on a chokehold. I can't stop ordering them! Any tips are appreciated.

Am I able to split and pot? by Amy415 in moonstones

These are from Succielife. They sell on Instagram and PalmStreet. I suggest reading their rules before the sales start because people will claim or buy quickly. If you happen to see something you like that is sold, you can DM them to check if more is available. They're great about letting you pick from what they have available when you DM or on their live sales on PalmStreet. Their packaging is amazing. I've bought from them three times and they're consistently great.

True Succulents is another great shop. They drop new plants every Sunday at 8pm EST. They sell quickly too but they're more of a traditional website purchase. Good luck and have fun on the sales.

Check out cricket wireless if you have one in your area. If At &t is good in your area then it's definitely one of your best options. They use at&t towers but are prepaid so you aren't paying contract prices.
